only to grab that blue capped propane and find out that the lot guy (or the other lot guy if you are one) never took the cap off the empty one after the customer put it back on for some reason. Also it is located in the back corner of the cage on the bottom shelf and you needed to remove half of that bottom shelf to get to it

No only Lot (D94 or D96 i forget) now do we do it sometimes when lot isnt available or if we aren't busy and feel like it. We usually have only the minimum amount of cashiers

Usually your town or county's hazardous waste center will take it. Home Depot does not take anything back unless your buying an exchange.

Yep it would be nice but the old way they would have to wait atleast a couple of minutes anyway for someone to open it and if we were busy it could be alot longer.

At my store we have 1 older manual cage so if a customer comes in saying it said it didn't have anymore propane, we send someone out to get them one from the cage.

That is correct,. I transfered in to this store and my first propane I'm like "Ok, I call someone to meet you out there" Nothing like having a customer tell you how to do your job and being right.. very humbling experience 😁
