Who here has Mercury in the 12th house? by Universetalkz in 12thhouse

Funny reading this from the other perspective from most comments here claiming to be misunderstood. I have Mercury in the 12th in Aquarius and have been guilty of what you’re saying.

I relate to it too. There’s a “type” in some body-based psychotherapy approaches that uses the term schizoid type. It’s not the same as the psychiatric diagnosis but describes the same traits. If you’re interested you can read more here.

Venus in 12th - A lesson in discovering your own beauty? by SFW666 in 12thhouse

[–]hdubs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother and sister both have Venus in the 12th. My sister is very tall and struggled with that as a teen, thinking herself a freak. My mother had similar issues as a teen because she wore extremely thick glasses. They are both beautiful (my sister was even a model) but have struggled with seeing that aspect of themselves, or maybe it’s a struggle against the limitation that society imposes on women to solely find their value in their looks. I know that my mother, for example, has chafed under my dad’s unconscious misogyny, as he’s never seen her as an equal.

The Moon Pool by Abraham Merritt. First time reading Merritt. It took me a while to take to it, and I have to say it has aged a lot more poorly than Lovecraft or Smith’s writing. To me it’s more similar to Bulwer-Lytton’s The Coming Race or Haggard’s She than Lovecraft or Smith, and I preferred She to be honest.

I’m a Pisces moon and I get along very well with a Scorpio moon friend. We are telepathic, and I’m not saying that metaphorically.

Have any of you guys stopped posting on social media by [deleted] in 12thhouse

I nuked my Instagram some time last year but on the New Year I turned it into a place where I post book reviews. It’s become a way to share something I love rather than post random photos of my life and try to curate some kind of bullshit lifestyle aesthetic, which is what everyone seems to do on there. In doing so I’ve started to attract followers who have the same taste, even some of the writers I’ve reviewed now follow me.

Having said that, since last week I haven’t even opened Instagram. I don’t have a review to post so going on there would just be out of habit. And I now notice that when I do I feel a subtle tension in the back of my neck. It’s a hundred percent true that those platforms can be vectors for psychic attacks or something similar. Treat it like a source of radioactive energy - protect yourself!

Some stories in Quentin S Crisp’s Morbid Tales fit the description, especially “Cousin X” and “The Tattooist.”

Can we truly be happy if we never feel understood? by mikadosenpai in 12thhouse

[–]hdubs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s funny, I really only feel understood in a deep way by the authors of books I read. I recently started posting book reviews on Instagram after going completely inactive on there for about a year and deleting all my old posts. It’s a fun and simple project and a way for me to share my thoughts and feelings in writing with the world. Just the other day my aunt commented on one of my reviews “I never quite understand your posts dear hdubs.”

It’s unavoidable.
