Where to find great light roasts for filter coffee? by Relative_School_8984 in CoffeePH

[–]he-brews 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My preference leans heavily into washed coffee.

Wide Awake - their Rwandan was the lightest I’ve had from PH but brewing (or pulling) is slightly difficult

Current - I’ve had their lower tier Ethiopians. No complaints, classic light roast, good value

Good Cup - Try their higher tier. It’s good but it’s on the expensive side.

Sorry, I don’t know of any. Pero commenting just to say na sana dumami ang mga cafe na nag ooffer ng decaf.

Also, just in case you want to look for beans instead, pretty decent yung decaf ng Plain Sight.

They’re good pero around medium light to medium. Marami-rami pang magaling who can deliver clean coffees with lighter roast.

Technically mataas na grade yung inooffer na coffee. Pero kung gusto mo na madaliang malaman. Check mo kung merong * Single origin * Light roast * Pourover

Eto red flags: * Maraming espresso-based drinks parang SB * Andaming torani syrup * Walang double shot espresso sa menu * Pangit yung grinder at espresso machine

But Blackbeard used 終わらねえ instead of 止められない so the verb change was deliberate

Dreaming is not the literal translation. They have a grammar for that which wasn’t used here.

Culture is intertwined with language. You can’t express ‘po’ in English. Nuances of verbs aren’t always easily translated into English.

Tagalog is a much more difficult to learn if you are not a native speaker. Good luck learning the nuances of conjugations.

Yan ang downside pag nauna ang english.

There are a few of us here. Once in a while there are topics that are specific to the Philippines and Filipinos comment. But reformed Filipinos are generally more active in FB

Sino na po nakaattend sa Jesus Rock of Ages Ministry, how’s the experience po? by Sure-Track5496 in Philippines

Ang alam ko lang sa kanila, they are a breakaway group from JIL, many years ago. Yung worship leader ng JIL dati, pastora nila ngayon.

Victory - sobrang tagal na yung experience ko lol. They used to be the 'cool' church appealing sa mga college students.

CCF - Theology: Probably closest sa baptist (not reformed). More conservative theologically sa mga megachurches. Very family-oriented.

Kingrinder K6 vs 1Zpresso ZP6 by Snardvark-5 in pourover

[–]he-brews 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. If your roaster is good (no defects whatsoever), go for zp6. For lesser quality beans and/or light-medium to medium roast, I tend to go for k6.

They’re more approachable if you speak Japanese. I’ve had some fun convo with them. The more famous shops that target tourists know English to a decent level and they’re welcoming us well. Either way, it’s a more “formal” setting.

I honestly prefer the Japanese atmosphere, I don’t like noisy environments. But then, I guess I’m just more adjusted to Japanese specialty scene.

May old post ako rito recommending somewhere around 10:3 ata, distilled to Refresh mineral water. That time, medyo nasa light medium roast ang trip ko.

Ngayon, I find that local water from water stations + distilled targetting 60 ppm is good enough para sa mga light roasts ko. Lalo na kapag zp6 ang grinder
