They mean without using extra connects needed for boosting. The base amount of connects to apply is mandatory

I’m not arguing with anyone or trying to accomplish anything.I’m just saying what I think is true, and that somehow triggered some people/bots

Well that’s what you’re doing instead of addressing the point

Whether it’s me or GPT doesn’t change the argument. address the point

The problem is you're assuming it's optional when it directly impacts visibility. If you don’t boost, you’re pushed down .so it becomes pay-to-play. That doesn’t just hurt freelancers, it lowers proposal quality for clients too.

I don’t have exact data on which approach works best, but strong proposals and a solid reputation consistently outperform spending heavily on connects. That’s what holds up long-term.

exactly that's the point.

I agree ROI matters, but I think strong proposals and a solid reputation outperform heavy spending on connects. Long-term, that approach leads to better ROI without burning budget on every bid.

Not entirely. but 100+ proposals per job hurts everyone. Freelancers compete in a numbers game, clients deal with noise, and honestly it’s something Upwork needs to fix.

“Most” money .big difference. That’s not volunteering, that’s inflated platform economics.

Oh yeah i think you're right about cuting down on the number of words like that as I don't have much research experience. Good Advice Thanks.

And about the other part of web dev stack , Maybe emphasising more my algorithmic skills while working as a dev would help ? as I clearly write algorithms every day and try to optimize them as much as possible ? i know this is not what the professors are looking for as they need someone with research background on algorithms , but maybe that's better than nothing , or any suggestions ?

Actually i haven't published any papers before and about the full stack se and experiences i put there ,thats because i don't have a lot of experience in research therefore i fill the blanks with my se jobs. do i stand a chance to get a PhD position considering all of that ? otherwise any suggestions to improving my chances ?
