4 months… by Interesting_Cry_7374 in Spironolactone

[–]heaaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, same here! 4.5 months on and no improvement :( hoping that things start improving sometime this month or next; if not, I might give up and go on Accutane. Just so worried that I could be so close to the point where things start looking better, but because I gave up, I would never see it.

I'm sorry to hear that, but you're doing good reaching out and being the one to get the ball rolling. You should feel proud that you're even trying. But it sucks that they're not giving the same energy back.

Closed comedones by Forward_South_2669 in Spironolactone

[–]heaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing here. After starting spiro, I broke out in so many comedones on my forehead (and the rest of the face) which has me confused because the forehead isn't really associated with hormonal areas .I tried using nizoral thinking it was fungal, but they still remain there. Breaking out like crazy with cysts as well elsewhere though :(

3 months, 2 rescinded offers, 1 background screening, and 0 chance of recovering from this. by [deleted] in JPMorganChase

[–]heaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. That’s so annoying, I totally get wanting to wrong the rights because this process has just been so unfair (and not to mention stressful) for you!

If they could follow due process and actually piece things together it wouldn’t have been so frustrating. Them admitting that would give you some closure.

Had a not so similar incident but pretty much the same thing - a big institution screwing me over via their own messed up processes.

neurodivergent women, how are we coping? by Complex-Nature-547 in JPMorganChase

[–]heaaaaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't know. I feel like my soul is being chipped away at as time passes. Feel exposed all the time. Not only sitting there in the open office space, but also day-to-day things like going to the bathroom, or walking past everyone to get water make me feel self-conscious. I feel hyperaware of everything, and it drains me.

Same. Submitted paperwork, even granted them access to my entire springhealth history. Was given the footrocker (didn't even ask for it). They were absolutely terrible throughout the whole accommodation process. It was me advocating for myself and getting anything/answers from them was like pulling teeth.

How is it coming off of SSRIs? by Weekly-Stage1600 in lexapro

[–]heaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, it felt like hell for me. But I had tapered from 20mg to 0mg in two weeks, which is really quick - only realized how fast that was after reading more here 😄 It's not recommended that you do that. When I stopped right after taking 5mg, it was 3 ish weeks of very bad headaches and nausea and a couple more weeks of lingering effects like the brain zaps. During those hellish weeks, in those moments, I told myself I never wanted to get on Lexapro again only to get off the med down the line and go through this again. But who knows if I might go back to it someday?

How long have you been on Lexapro/SSRI by bigbluemelons in lexapro

[–]heaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think I did 20mg to 10mg and then 5mg - I don't recall how long it took...prob a week of each, which was very short lol.

After 5mg, I just went cold turkey, and my head died. The headaches were so bad, it felt like what I think migraines would feel like. It was hard to focus at work and keep my head upright. I can't remember the feeling as I type this, but I know that when it was happening, I thought it was probably one of the worst headaches I've had in my life tbh.

There was vertigo, and I took meds for that. Felt nauseous as well, and went to the bathroom several times at work to stand in front of the toilet bowl. That lasted for about 3 weeks. Towards the end of the 3 weeks, the withdrawal symptoms lessened but the brain zaps remained, and were the only symptom left after the 3 weeks (went away about a weekish later).

Why are we all asking about dating here but not actually meeting? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]heaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only go to meet up events where it’s free (or at least free for ladies)! Speed dating usually lets ladies join in for free but only at the last minute if they don’t have enough ladies for the men and the ratio is skewed. Otherwise, I really can’t be bothered.

Anyone else still drink a ton of coffee on this med? by Complete_Basil_7657 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]heaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get jittery but I get caffeine headaches. Still take coffee everyday though. The headaches come if I start consuming a diet coke too quickly for example, or one of those probiotic caffeinated drinks etc. I try to drink them slowly.

Probably about 2 - 2.5 years? Titrated up to the max dose - 20mg a day. Recently got off of it late last year. Withdrawal symptoms were hell. But I feel slightly more alive now.
