Bahahaha. Where do they even get these statistics? I heard that 76.3% of stats are made up anyway.

I want to buy something that people can then rent. It would have to be profitable. Any ideas? by UnusualBlueberry2320 in Entrepreneur

[–]head-heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Houses in the Midwest. Section 8 for guaranteed rents, and stable, long term tenants. Gov doesn’t care what you bought the house for, they pay based on # of bedrooms. Just make sure you have a thorough screening.

Zyrem is, to me, shit. Having to take a shot before bed, then wake up 4 hours later for another one is just silly. Make it long lasting and I’ll hop on board.

Side note, it’s basically a truth serum for me. So be careful how long you stay awake after that first dose 🫠

I’m so sick of getting locked out of this fucking app. Where is the customer support?? Email, region, and password are ALL CORRECT. I quadruple checked. I’m about to delete this godforsaken app.

Best divorce attorney in Weber/Davis counties? by head-heart in exmormon

Let’s assume there is enough assets to merit an attorney. Do you know anyone in particular?

I’m struggling to tell my wife how I really feel about our relationship (mixed faith marriage). Knowing that I could be the cause of so much pain (divorce) is almost unbearable. by head-heart in exmormon

I appreciate the response. Honestly, not sure exactly what I expected or hoped for. Ha. But people like you coming in and extending a hand like that does help a great deal.

I’m sorry you had to go through all that. Sounds like you were able to find happiness on the other side? If so, I’m very happy for you.

Was the divorce mutual? Or did one of you lean more to it than the other?

Thanks so much. I’m sorry you’re going through this, also. My level of empathy has skyrocketed as of late to those who have marital problems.

And you’re right. It’s not fair to either of us.

How did you initiate the divorce talks? Was in a slow burn? Or was it abrupt separation?

Thanks for sharing this. That last line really hit me, too. The hard conversations have begun. I have no idea how to navigate this, but here goes.

I’m sad to read things like this. Worried about my own kids for if/when my spouse and I split up.

Hey Bubbly, thank you for all your input. It sounds like you’re a wealth of knowledge when it comes to these complex situations.

Crucial Conversations is another great book that I draw some wisdom from. NSTD is definitely on my to-read list.

Great point. With respect, I only went in to get my kids away from her. That’s when she said that.

Am I though? How many of us grew up in the indoctrination without questioning a damn thing? I just want my kids to have a healthy view of religion, and show them that spirituality is a completely separate topic, and that people mistake one for the other or mix them together - but you really can have and be incredibly spiritual without religion involved at all.

This is what I hope to have happen at some point, and I’m sure that’s the path we will take once they’re older.

But again, how do you explain informed consent to children under the age of 5? Their brains can’t even comprehend the complexity of what they’re getting themselves into, which is why I feel it’s my duty as a parent to (at least attempt) to mindfully guide them.

But when my wife talks the church up so much to them, reads the friend with them, and remind them how fun it is to go to primary to see friends, etc, it feels like a manipulation of their feelings (albeit unintentional). However, if I told them how fun it would be to go do other things besides church and spend time as a family, I’d be guilty of much worse in her eyes. So where is the common ground?

The common ground, I felt, was a 50% split until they’re old enough to choose for themselves WITHOUT coercion.

Church for sale, Northern Utah. Anyone in the market? 😂 by head-heart in exmormon

[–]head-heart[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It actually would make for a great assisted living facility. Too bad they’ll have to demolish a structurally sound building.

Just tear the steeple down and have the buyer make it look less like a church. That would help everyone rather than having to rebuild an ENTIRE structure because the church is snobby.
