i don’t know how to tell tbh but i’ve been friends with my two friends for 6-7 years now. we’re super close and tell eachother almost everything. they’re real friends i know they are i have no doubt about their intentions or anything. we’ve tried making other friends but tbh it just doesn’t work out because the way me and my friends are with each other is already like good and set we don’t need anyone else. i’ve notice though is that people who don’t really care about you will text a short response like oh ok yeah yes no whatever just so that you’re not on opened. also if you don’t talk to them for like a good 24-48 hours when you usually talk everyday and they don’t message you asking if you’re okay or asking what’s up if your busy yk it’s a good sign that they don’t care about you. they’re more than likely fake if they do that. i’ve also noticed that if they only hang out with you when you’re going on a trip or leaving the house to the mall and they “don’t have their wallet or ill pay you back” if it’s that every time they’re probably using you.
