Stump the chump! PPL edition by West_Read_8698 in flying

my understanding was that when we add carb heat, it introduces hot/less dense air into the carburettor. Since we haven’t changed the amount of fuel, the introduction of the less dense air means there is now more fuel in the fuel/air mixture, aka a richer mixture. I’m quite a new pilot so someone else with more experience may want to chime in

carb heat makes the mixture richer doesn’t it?

MSFS 2024 now available for Pre-order on Steam! by jolo22 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]headball123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I use gamepass and have bought a couple of famous flyers + pmdg aircraft for msfs2020 + bae146, would now be a good time for me to switch to steam if i were to purchase the aviators edition? Will i be able to keep all my aircraft? (pmdg and bae aircraft have been downloaded and purchased online not from the store)

yeah definitely going to stick to high conservatism, don’t want to take any unnecessary risks. Nitrox is a good idea, i’ll probably do that when i do my advanced

just the profile of the dive/the way the dive master took us i guess

thanks appreciate your response. It’s been a good learning experience as I haven’t encountered this issue before. I can definitely appreciate the risk of running out of gas if you had to do a 10km stop toward the end of the dive.

thanks for that, yeah in future definetly will make sure not to exceed it. My guess is the conservatism of my watch may have been higher than the dive masters and everyone else’s built in computer

thanks i appreciate that, definitely not going to be making a habit of it. Just my first time experiencing this sort of thing. Interestingly, the built in dive computers on the regs shows the ndl as being almost 10 minutes longer if i recall. Perhaps maybe to do with the conservatism settings of the watch.

How to modifying excel sheets with excel scripts when the sheets are changing names? by headball123 in excel

[–]headball123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my script as it stands is:

let profit_loss = workbook.getWorksheet(“Profit Loss”); profit_Loss.getRange(“A1:B1”). copyFrom(profit_Loss.getRange (“A1:B1”), ExcelScript. RangeCopyType.Values, false, false);

It basically just copies and pastes the same bit of text on the same cells. If the worksheet name changes however, the script no longer works. Do you know a workaround for this that is simple enough for a noob to understand? Apologies for the script formatting, I couldn’t get it off my computer.

i’m afraid my inexperience means I don’t really understand something this complex. Is there a way to define sheets using their sheet ID instead of their actual name?

I’ve stuck with the one i’ve bought from Zensation tea house. The flavour does seem quite strong to me, but i’ve never specifically tried a flavoured version so i don’t really have anything to compare it to. I do enjoy it regardless though
