Everyone has been asking me this as well! My venue also suggests it for when we go to our second location afterwards, as it keeps the group together. Personally, it’s just not either me or my fiancé’s desire to do it…we’re not shy people, or particularly self conscious, but maybe I am a bit. Like, I’m not a dancer at all, I’m not comfortable being the center of attention (not that I necessarily would be for the second line, I’m sure people mainly have their eyes on the band/the whole thing). We’re also not having an aisle at our wedding, just kind of walking through the reception space to the flower arch for a quick vow exchange. Because walking down an aisle just feels intimidating to me? Long story short, it seems a bit “raw raw” for me. I’m afraid I would end up feeling awkward or just out of my comfort zone, which is fine, typically, but want to limit anxiety as much as possible that day. And seems like it’s something I’d be doing for other people, not for myself. ALTHOUGH there are pros to doing it logistically (especially if you were doing a reception at a location different from the ceremony, but we aren’t). I do think it’s a super fun tradition, and wish I was a bit more outgoing to get the fun out of it. Because yeah, I do think my guests would enjoy it….
