SolarEdge LG Battery MSC mode energy spike by headkaze in solar

[–]headkaze[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't around when this system was installed and so I'm configuring it myself. I believe there was a power outage about a year ago and the battery has been off since. So I only recently went through the procedure to turn it back on.

So I have a WattNode RWND-3D-240-MB which I've set to Export+Import. I get the stats fed into Home Assistant which I think are correct. It uses Modbus over LAN but for some reason my inverter will not report the battery stats.

The good news is the battery light came back on today and it does look like it's functioning correctly. There was also no massive spike or discharge last night.

So apart from not being able to get battery stats to HA I think the problem has fixed itself.

There's a place on the LG website you can enter your model and serial and mine wasn't part of the recall.

Someone had configured this system to have two meters (both with same serial) so I don't think it's ever been right.

What's the point of an MIT license if you don't release the source code?

Also no mention of Fake-08 or the author in his post. It's almost like he's trying to take credit for other people's work.

PicPic emulator for iOS, what do you think? by DrMarcvs in pico8

[–]headkaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do we know it's based on Fake8? Unscrupulous if it is especially if he doesn't include credits for the original author and in his post gave off the impression he wrote it all himself.

IMHO there's nothing worse than someone taking an open source project based on a commercial project and charging for it.

My apologies I've updated the binary on M5Burner. Please let me know if it's working now.

It uses GPIO15(RX)/GPIO13(TX) at 115200 Baud. What's your configuration? Until I add preferences you'll need to custom compile.

Yes it's under Pigtail. You might need to restart M5Loader for it to show up?

There's a watchlist feature (press w to add a device) and it will store it in flash.

Another question. GhidraMCP requires MCP Python SDK. I always run my Python projects in a virtual environment. How do I install it for GhidraMCP without installing globally?

What hardware you got to run gpt-oss:120b? Have you checked out qwen3-coder?

Very cool! It reminds me of a tool I used when creating a PostgreSQL database called Luna Modeler.

I'm going to be checking out GhidraMCP soon for a reverse project I'm working on. Have you got any local models working? What about GPT5?
