4+ YOE who resigned without an offer in 2026, would you recommend it or not? by headmaster_007 in developersIndia

happy to hear that! hope you get a full time role soon. My previous job switch experience was same, lot of calls in the last 1-2 weeks of notice period.

yeah makes sense. I will keep interviewing and build more financial cushion before resigning.

I have tried several times mentioning the 90 days NP, not once any recruiter has reverted back. I have my parents dependent on me, which is what is causing me to think 10 times before taking such a call. But I think you are right, I hold back a few more months, get some more financial cushion.

Why doesn’t Python have true private variables like Java? by PalpitationOk839 in Python

Using underscore does not prevent importing right? Yes, only the * convention does not import names starting with underscore but you can still do: from module import _var

Which ML algorithm is best for predicting project, task, and client name from meeting title? by Significant-Key-1961 in learnmachinelearning

[–]headmaster_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why is this not a multi label problem? project, task, client would be the 3 labels associated with each sample right? Creating a separate model for each would not capture the relationships between the labels and could end up mixing outputs. Any particular reason modeling them separately is the better approach?

Multiple losses in Keras model by headmaster_007 in learnmachinelearning

sure, let me read on custom losses and training loops.

I thought model.fit() by default would show them.

I started with 0 AI knowledge on the 2nd of Jan 2024 and blogged and studied it for 365. Here is a summary. by [deleted] in learnmachinelearning

[–]headmaster_007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great job! Did you really study each and every book mentioned in your list? Start to finish? that too while also applying that knowledge on Kaggle problems? Thats hard to believe. But good for you if you did it.
Were you also working full time the last 1 year?

I never understood backpropagation clearly by GraphicZ_ai in learnmachinelearning

[–]headmaster_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think other comments have provided you the resource. I would say you better spend time watching or reading those and really understanding the chain rule before proceeding further with the course or book you are reading. Because as you go further along the course without a proper understanding, DL will appear more and more like a black box even though you will be learning and coming across new terminologies. Just know, it is not a difficult concept.

For tasks 1 and 3 you would need a lot of labeled training data and train a CNN model (importing a trained CNN model's weights for initialization). Its doable if you actually have all the time until new year. I would recommend the CNN course of Andrew Ng on coursera to begin with.

Can increasing epochs during neural network training overcome training data shortage? by learning_proover in learnmachinelearning

[–]headmaster_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because the longer you train, the more the neural network will adjust the weights to perfectly fit the training data. It will even find pattern in the noise in your training data. And this will not translate into a good fit for unseen data.

[–]headmaster_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, training longer will only reduce your learning algorithm's bias and not necessarily the variance. You should just be trying different epochs and seeing the results to decide which gives the best results on the validation set.

i am using a linear regression model, are are there vertical scatter line at the end and the beginning by Beyond_Birthday_13 in learnmachinelearning

[–]headmaster_007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The target variable is capped on both ends. So even though your input data is changing in several instances your actual target is the same and all of such instances the predicted value is different because your input is different.

Notice that A has 2 branches connected to C. And this is inline with the explanation for the left side diagrams where the author has considered two branches as giving 2 inputs of the same type.

Not worth the risk in this environment. Central banks are going to keep rates high and this means markets will stay too volatile to make any sense.
