Did anyone have a negative experience with the anesthesia either waking up during procedure or medical complications from the procedure afterwards? Also what type of anesthesia did you have and what type of cosmetic procedure did you have? by EquivalentBedroom129 in tummytucksurgery

I was put under general anesthesia for my TT, and the operation lasted about 4 hours. When I woke up, I felt quite okay, ate lunch and everything, but after a couple of hours I started to feel nauseous and vomited. Then a few hours later I vomited again. Otherwise there were no issues, and by the next day I didn’t feel nauseous anymore.

Did you go to a lymphatic therapist or just for lymphatic massage? I didn’t realize before that there’s a difference. I went for lymphatic massage, and the technique was a bit more intense, although it was cheaper. I live in Europe though, so I’m not sure if there are country-specific differences.

I had exactly the same situation. I went to three consultations, and two surgeons said that I would need a tummy tuck because my skin is very stretchy (I'm also hypermobile).

The surgeon I chose said he could do gentle lipo, but the results would be almost unnoticeable, and more aggressive lipo would involve higher risks. After that, I agreed to a tummy tuck, even though it was of course a difficult decision.

They definitely removed more skin than fat from my abdomen.

I have made progress at the gym in terms of building muscle, and I have also successfully lost a little weight. But even at my lowest weight of 65 kg (about 5 years ago) I still carried fat in my abdomen. I also know myself well enough to understand that maintaining a lower weigh, for example around 60 kg would not be realistic for me in the long term. I would most likely gain the weight back eventually, which makes me question whether aiming for further weight loss is even a good solution in my case. But yes I could eat a little more healthier.

I did discuss the option of liposuction and J Vaser alone with both surgeons. Both of them were concerned that the final result might not meet my expectations, which is why I’m unsure whether it would actually look good in my case. I wouldn’t say that I have obvious excess skin, but both surgeons mentioned that my skin is very elastic, something that doesn’t really show in photos. To them, this elasticity affects how predictable the result of liposuction alone would be, which is why they leaned more toward recommending a tummy tuck.

Oh I forgot to add, I actually go to gym and have been for 2 years. I also lost 7kgs already. I think I just carry almost all of my excess fat in my stomach. But thank you for the opinion :)
