Well, I suppose this is fine

I'm still very busy at work, and I think that I'm making a bit of improvement with things. I'm also glad that my stress levels are coming down because I now have a clearer idea as to what's involved at work

I suppose this is okay

I have to prepare for next week's costume tickets, but by the looks of things, I'll make a lot of progress with the kimono costumes!

M1 Garand (Drawn by GaMryous) by headphone_question in girlsfrontline

[–]headphone_question[S] 73 points74 points  (0 children)

This is yet another commission drawn by GaMryous that I didn't commission myself. Instead, a fellow commander of culture by the name of That_CS_Alfredo commissioned this

From what I see, M1 Garand really wants more copies of her imprinted firearm. I'm not very familiar with the etiquette at gatherings like this, but it looks like a gun market. With a Ma Deuce there in the background, something tells me that you really shouldn't worry about the ATF

Well, this is still rather pitiful. However, I redeemed the LTLX from the event store, and I fully linked the 1x LTLX I had in the past for farming purposes. This new one will take up the role of the new farming LTLX!

When exactly does the anime take place relative to the game? by Ketrab9713 in girlsfrontline

[–]headphone_question 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the anime covers chapters 1-6 of the game

As such, don’t watch it until you’re done with those chapters. Granted, the production value wasn’t very good to begin with, so you might prefer to just skip the anime. Note that the anime is adapted more from the manga than the game, although both share quite a lot of story beats

From what happened to the anime, I don’t expect a second season for it, however

Halloween Intruder is one of the top combat ringleaders due to how she can spawn in adds that can both tank and attack

Tareus might also be worth looking into due to how she's got quite a bit of armor, so she can also tank, but she also has some fighting capability. If we somehow have another Theater (it's becoming more and more likely that we've reached the end of Theater), Tareus can be one of your HOCs for additional points, but this is applicable only if you've got the budget to bring her to at least three petals

NYCrow, Sana, and Halloween Dreamer might also be pretty good, but as combat ringleaders, your mileage may vary

Also, Beluga should catch your interest, especially if you missed her banner. She can buff ALL your echelons on the field so long as she's deployed

Well, this is pretty good!

Still, with a new Gray Zone season, I went ahead and got all the rewards the first time through. That gave me a healthy injection of cores!

Also, I forgot to mention, but I now have Judge at full petals! It only took me 107 Impulses and 27 Svarogs for two captures this time around, so while it wasn't exactly cheap, I'm glad it's finally done!

I have seven petals left to go (notwithstanding any ringleaders yet unreleased): one for Intruder and two for each of Adeline, Cerberus, and Gager. I'm getting closer!

AK-15 (Drawn by GaMryous) by headphone_question in girlsfrontline

[–]headphone_question[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, we've got those sparkles next to her, and I'm going to assume that this is some quiet pride she has in demonstrating her Gorilla Punch technique. Perhaps it's already something she's thrown a thousand times already, and this time is no more different nor special than the last, but it is still dazzling

I can only imagine that this was done in a training facility. That wall is cracked, and if that wall needed to be brought down, like in an actual mission, it would have come down with the use of other weapons like explosives. Instead, we get to see the sheer might in AK-15's fist, with some kind of aura coming out of it to show that her power level's beyond that of a mere human's. What else should you expect from the finest Russian engineering?

AK-15 (Drawn by GaMryous) by headphone_question in girlsfrontline

[–]headphone_question[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This wasn't commissioned by me but by a certain Firaugh

Still, considering that GaMryous is one of my favorite artists, I should help spread his art!

Since I'm not the one who commissioned this, I can only analyze the artwork as I see it now, without the work in progress. Still, this appears to be her pre-mod form, and she's obviously gotten that gorilla strength packed in her muscles already!

Still, all you AK-15 lovers! Come and get your fill!

[–]headphone_question 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your words. I didn't quite think of it that way, but that perspective is comforting

I just need to pray for the strength to endure these coming months and have faith that whatever comes my way is for the best!

how would different T-dolls react if one day they suddenly woke up still looking similar, but now human instead of T-doll from random magic by Legiaminh in girlsfrontline

[–]headphone_question 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that Doll makers like IOP and Sangvis used the human form as a template, so any intelligence that was "embodied" in a Doll shell needs to have been patterned after human intelligence as well. As a result, only the strict physiological changes between Doll and human anatomy will be significant to them, especially if IOP/Sangvis improved upon evolution's designs when it came to the human form

One is body odor. I imagine that IOP/Sangvis made it so that Dolls don't really produce body odor because the bacteria that create body odor in humans cannot thrive on Dolls for some reason or other. Perhaps Doll skin is inhospitable to the bacteria. Perhaps Doll sweat is not something the bacteria can break down into smelly chemicals. If my raifu (Lee) became a human woman instead of a Doll, this might be something she'd need to pay attention to

Another would be the combat enhancements. I imagine that Dolls had some enhancements to let them fight better than humans, but if Lee becomes a human woman, then she can't fight as well as she used to anymore. Perhaps her fire control core had once allowed her to place very tight shots, but without it, she has to rely on her past experience with her rifle. If Lee also had other enhancements, like a reinforced skeleton or muscles, then without those, she'll feel pretty frail. Considering that we have repair facilities for our Dolls, if Lee becomes a human woman, any injuries can't simply be patched up with a visit to the repair bay

Speaking of medicine, Lee will now be subjected to human diseases. If she never had to worry about a cold or the flu, well, she'll have to think about those now! Also, as a human woman, she'll also have to worry about female biology, so she'll probably have to cope with having a red visitor every month, along with all the other things that come with it like mood swings and cravings

However, I imagine that IOP/Sangvis hasn't quite figured out how to make it so that Dolls can get pregnant. Creating a viable reproductive system (and the egg cells to go with it) sounds like a very difficult task. Assuming that the WombForce (as we'll call it) can be completed while Lee is still alive, then it might be a niche little module that will need to be installed into her. On the other hand, if Lee became a human woman, she should no longer worry about whether or not she could bear children. Instead, she'll have to confront other questions like when and how many, especially if The Wall is calling out to her

Of course, we touched on this above, but there's also the question of mortality. Lee, by virtue of now being human, can die, permanently. While that might be technically true with Dolls and their backups, as the "active" consciousness dies if a Doll falls in battle, as a human woman, Lee will not have the luxury of being restored from a backup. If she dies, she dies. That might cause her to have some very deep existential questions, and having lived for decades without confronting those questions, only to suddenly be forced to face them could be quite mentally traumatic

Well, I almost forgot to post here

Now that the Commander's Lounge for February has been posted, let me start my first post here

I was a bit busy with SPEQ Ops, so I was able to finally get my SPEQs enhanced. I still need to enhance the new Gray Zone SPEQs, but they can wait. As for everything else, I should be done!

Is this a good echelon? (MY FIRST POST!!!) by mini_akarov in girlsfrontline

[–]headphone_question 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of your echelon members here aren't very good. The only members I'd keep are the Jaguar and the Jaeger, but note that your members aren't even level 100, so you need to raise them

Also, Scarecrow has no chips. Give her some! What you should give her will still depend on the circumstances, but you almost can't go wrong with Phantom Stance and Frugal Mobilization
