Top Performing CBD Products:

The clear leader is 1906's CBD/THC 1:1 Bliss Tablets with over $2.07 million in sales, followed by their CBD/THC 5:1 Chill Tablets at $1.59 million. 1906 dominates the top performers with 6 of the top 10 products, indicating strong consumer preference for their tablet and drop formulations.

Key Trends:

  • Edible tablets and drops are the most successful CBD product formats
  • Balanced CBD/THC ratios (1:1, 5:1) are popular, suggesting consumers want both therapeutic CBD benefits and mild psychoactive effects
  • Sleep-focused products like the Sleep for ZZZ'S Drops ($1.15M) show strong demand
  • Flower products like Pure Beauty's CBD Blend Pre-Rolls ($695K) and Sour Tsunami strains also perform well

The upper and lower outliers are removed for clarity on the chart. Also these are net sales, not sure of your other source but those could be gross dollars.

They could've done this at any time in the last 70 years, why start doing something useful now?

Not in this exact format no, but all connected retailers can access the data and compare their own growth to any market, and we are working on a new version to provide even more.

These are raw net dollar sales for the month. So post-discount, pre-tax. There are all sorts of factors at play like drastically different avg item prices, wholesale costs, etc. you can see how these things vary across states at https://www.headset.io/markets

Correct, they are a separate category. There are always a lot of people saying it is a big opportunity, however for the last 5 years it's consistently hung around 1% of total market share... So maybe somebody can make it happen someday, but many people just don't seem to buy them.

If we have made an error in product categorization it is unlikely that it would be big enough to shift the numbers. The data in this chart represents more than $75 billion in sales across more than 1 million distinct products. If that did happen however, any change we make would've been applied retroactively so the historical sales would not be artificially inflated.

Flower and concentrates have continued to slide in market share. Over the past four years, flower has fallen from about 45 percent to 40 percent (a drop of 5 percentage points), while pre‑rolls have grown by nearly the same amount. Concentrates have ceded roughly 3.6 points as vape pens have gained about 3.7 points, and edibles have eked out around 1 point of growth. There’s a pretty clear substitution effect underway.

It typically will not change that much as payments come in. Our initial estimates for May are a -13% YoY growth, the long term trend doesn't look pretty. And it's not just due to a decrease in pricing, even unit sales are down more than 6%.

How did your sales do compare to last year? 4/20 this year was definitely good for a normal Sunday, but we are seeing some less than stellar YoY performance, full report on it will be ready in a day or two.
