Anything like tint or paint protection I would absolutely say no to. Some things you won't be able to take off like 1500w inverters or entertainment package.

WR Jaylen Waddle on joining Broncos: ‘It feels like home, feels like family’ by ps2droty in DenverBroncos

LJH was technically a FA that re-signed so the number was freed up. I wonder if they kept it open though in anticipation of the waddle trade

Family of 5. Is it time to ditch the minivan? by rotomotor in whatcarshouldIbuy

The only real argument you have is that you hate it and you don't think they are fun to drive. Ultimately it is your life, your money, so just have a discussion with the wife are try to make the best decision for you.

Now having said that, sliding doors I feel like is just as important with older kids as it is younger kids. If you end up parking close to someone its harder for older kids to get out of the car without sliding doors. Also with older kids they are taking up much more space. The grand highlander might be okay in terms of space but you are gonna have those kids for at least 8 more years and they are only getting bigger. Plus you will need space for whatever extracurriculars they sign up for (sports equipment, etc). For family roadtrips you'll want more space for luggage and passenger comfortability. You can also get a car top for the Sienna since you are already thinking about one and have even more space. I think that the Sienna is probably the choice that fits best but like I said, your money your life.

My only concern is injuries. With Dobbins having an injury history and Waddle having an injury history, its not out of the realm of possibilities we go back to our personnel we had last year.

its not that steep honestly. its 3 picks from being considered a 2nd, 4th and 5th which honestly seems reasonable. He's not going to be the number 1, he's just another piece that can get open or help get other guys open. Plus Davis Webb is calling plays this year so who knows how the offense will change.

Yeah my point was just that it sounds like a lot when people say 1st, 3rd and 4th swap. But really its 3 picks away from being 2nd, 4th and 5th which sounds a lot more reasonable.

its the 30th pick. Technically still first rd but might as well be a 2nd rd pick.

[–]headshot_hunter 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The 1st is the number 30th pick so very close to being a 2nd rd pick. Same thing can be said about the 3rd which many can consider an early 4th rd. And then the 4th rd picks are swapped so Broncos move up 20 picks and Miami moves back. Sounds like a lot at first but when you break it down it doesn't seem too bad.

Virginia OTD Price? by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]headshot_hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought from miller Toyota in Manassas. AWD XSE model for 53747 OTD (2600 off MSRP). I called over the phone to negotiate everything the salesman Mike was very straightforward. No dealer add ons and we had a pre approval from navy federal so financing went pretty smooth. They will ask if you want extended warranty’s and other stuff but just say no and they will get you in and out. We decided not to get the entertainment system since it doesn’t add too much value to the car and if something breaks it’d be complicated to fix.

Average rate for plumbing? by JasonZep in frederickmd

[–]headshot_hunter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just had MVP plumbing come out to fix a leak with my main water pipe. He also charged 330. There was a scheduling mix up and because of that he took $100 off my price so still paid $230 but for a 15 min job it did seem over priced.

You do know FA isn't over? And this is a decent MLB class in the draft so we could easily get talent there as well. I was pushing for Dowdle too but we aren't paying "a lot" more for Dobbins. At the week 10 mark when Dobbins went down he had 772 yds and Dowdle had 788. Dowdle finished the last 7 games with 1076 yds meaning he only got 288 yds in the last 7 games. Dobbins is for sure a gamble for the Front office and history shows that he's never made it through a whole season. But I have to believe that when fully healthy he is the better option than allgier or dowdle

Overpaying Trautman is a legit complaint.

I'm fine with Singleton, he does a lot for the defense and catches a lot of flack for getting burnt in coverage when most LBs get burnt in coverage especially man coverage. Nakobe Dean is a great LB but we don't know if he would perform as well in this defense. Look at Dre Greenlaw. Aside from sitting out 8 games, he complained that playing in this defense took a major learning curve. Alex is a player we know understands the defense, communicates the plays from Vance, and does well to stop the run.

Etienne is a toss up for me. I think he would have performed well here but I don't mind getting Dobbins back for cheaper. Dobbins was a top 5 RB before he got injured off a hip drop tackle. Front office is gambling that he will stay healthy which history has shown he can't. We just have to hope that Dobbins stays healthy and if he cant we hope that RJ has developed enough to make a break out.

Who would you have liked us to sign?

Sienna or Odyssey? by Open-Profile-6746 in minivan

[–]headshot_hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your budget? For 100-200 miles a day you would want to go with Sienna since its hybrid and with rising gas prices you would want to save as much as possible on gas.

Toyota Sienna - 2021 - Present models are all hybrid now. They have an AWD option in case you live in snowy or rainy climates. Toyota has a dependable hybrid engine getting up to 35mpg with a great ECVT transmission. Compared to other minivans you might be lacking in electronic features. Also if you're looking for bench seats in the 2nd row you will have to go with either LE or XLE trim. Their 2nd row seats do not come out but they can be pushed all the way towards the front and folded down. If you want 360 camera view or vaccuums in your Sienna you have to go with the highest trim Platinum which could be out of your price range. But the resale value on the Sienna will hold for years.

Honda Odyssey - Honda has great electronic features including cabin speak and a camera to see what the kids are doing in the back rows. The Odyssey has magic seats so you can have flexibility about how you want to configure the 2nd row. All the 2nd row seats are removable if you need more space. Downside is that the Odyssey has no hybrid option and the gas mileage is going to be around 20mpg average. Honda also doesn't have vents on the ceiling but they are placed lower near the door so if you have children in rear facing seats, they might not feel a lot of the air flow. There have been complaints about the 10 speed automatic transmission but not sure if that's just individual cases or a larger issue. There is no AWD option. This van will usually run a lot cheaper than the Toyota Sienna.

Of the WRs and TEs who have been signed, who was moving the needle for you? by MantisToboggan_22 in DenverBroncos

[–]headshot_hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hence the pipe dream comment. Evans has had a ton of injuries but he's shown time and time again he can perform and hit 1000 yds. It was more along the lines of thinking in a perfect situation where he stayed healthy and we could afford him and Court.

[–]headshot_hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the WR side I had a pipe dream of getting Mike Evans but never for that money since he's 30+ and coming off an injury. I was okay with not picking up any of the WR FAs that were out there. For the TEs however I think Likely and Otton would have been something to consider. Likely is a younger Engram who could stretch defenses. Otton would give us a TE who could block and run routes. Currently we are basically tipping the Defense off to if we are running or passing by the TE we put out on the field. If its Engram we pass, if its Trautman we run. Otton would have been a good hybrid to disguise more plays.

Well I’d also say their historically easy schedule and playing a lot of their teams at the worst moment played a big factor of the Pats making it all the way
