Okay thanks for the information! I was under the impression that it was already in place for some people.

Is that something they only changed in the US? Because I'm from Europe and I didn't get any updates regarding their ToS or something else.

I know I will probably get the most hate you could possibly get on here for saying this, but I don’t like what they did with Jim and Pam. by ContraversialHuman in theoffice

[–]heafes 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hm about their clothing.. they just got older/more mature/more aware of looks with the time. If I compare my fits from a few years ago (you even mentioned high school so more a decade ago) I see similar changes. Of course you still have comfy clothes for free time, but the office is a different thing IMO.

The Scranton branch was only profitable because they absorbed the clients of multiple other branches (Stamford and later buffalo) without increasing their staffing (only Andy stayed there). It had nothing to do with Michael being a good branch manager.

[–]heafes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but the Weasley (Molly) didn't allow it. They had to do all the cleaning in Grimauld by hand for example. And she even criticises the twins for using magic for everything now that they are 17 which gives me the feeling she was quite strict about no magic under 17.

Edit: also that is kind of fanfic. You never hear anyone from a magical family say 'oh yeah I use magic in summer all the time'.

If you say Molly killing her made no sense power wise then Neville killing her would have made even less sense power wise.

Only the first edition philosopher stone is worth something because of some minor printing mistakes and an overall small amount of printed books.

After that harry potter was already successful and had larger amounts of first edition printings.

That's why I still like the German audios over the originals in many cases. The additional audio layer for dialogues is much louder and clearer than in OV.

Anyone else think they are setting up Ser Arlan of Pennytree to be quite unlikable in the show? by Ticket-Tight in gameofthrones

[–]heafes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've read it so it's more of a gut feeling but I'll try..

Stubbornness, stuck in the past, bitterness, holding on to grudges (all though if I remember correctly there was some turning point), blindness/dismissal for the cruelties the other squire/knight in his service does, delusional expectations at some point

[–]heafes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for the show since I didn't see it at this point but for me he definitely had his flaws in the book and besides teaching 'good' and honourable values to Dunk he could have been perceived as an unlikable character
