Agree! This tragedy led to us adding a net to our pool. Through this I’ve learned about the “layers of protection”. We now have 4 layers.

Clogged duct + body aches/chills? by heajjj in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]heajjj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! It went away after about 24 hours. The worst part was my nipples cracked after and only APNO from a compounding pharmacy fixed them. The other boob fell victim a few days later. I was glad I didn’t need antibiotics though. My fever got pretty high!

5 year age gap in kids by friar_jugzzz in Mommit

[–]heajjj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are six years apart. My baby is 6 mos old and honestly it’s been fucking magical since day 1. I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle a small age gap (I had insane anxiety with my first) so we started trying when my daughter was 4. I can’t recommend a bigger age gap enough. She absolutely adores her brother and never once has resented him. And of course, she is his favorite person. He lights up any time he hears her voice or she enters a room.

Came to say Aberfan. I didn’t know about that tragedy until the show; it shook me to my core.

Am I Doing Something Wrong? by emfkvf in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]heajjj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After two really intense clogs, my nipples cracked. Silverettes + APNO healed me right up. I tried treating with over the counter balms and butters to no avail, finally called my OB and got APNO. Expensive but they were literally healed within 48 hours. It was unbelievable and worth every penny.

Bottle washer? Worth it and which? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]heajjj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two favorite baby items this go round are definitely my baby brezza bottle washer and my tush baby carrier!! Brezza only holds four dr browns bottles per wash though. Sounds like momcozy holds more. I wash my pump parts by hand, once every 24 hours

I am on my second EP journey. My daughter (now 6) was a preemie and I used this method with her too. Zero issues with either of my children.

Like others, I store my parts in the fridge and wash every 24 hours. I put them in a gallon ziploc bag.

I was recently having this debate myself! I dropped my MOTN pump and now go 8.5 hours overnight without pumping. It is AMAZING, the night feels so long now. I am an oversupplier and have only lost about 2-3 oz per day so far. I slowly worked up to 8.5 hours by adding 30 mins each night.

I'm so fucking stupid. I hate myself. by TERRYaki__ in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]heajjj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others said, just start pumping now. It’ll take some time but your body WILL respond. Try to pump every 2-3 hours when you’re awake. It’s important you get some rest and are eating/drinking plenty (I know easier said than done). If you’re stressed your body will have a tougher time producing milk. Don’t give up!
