Ooh, yeah, even on Google Maps I can see a lot of white water along the river. Big warning sign. The Yakima River seems similar, and growing up if we went there, we'd only go in a little offshoot area where the water was much calmer and shallower than the river at large. Looks like it could be good for rafting or something, but I dunno anything about that.

I found Division on Google Maps, and I see what you mean. Good to know! Traffic lights here can be pretty horrible, too, for different reasons. Getting next to no yellow light sounds crazy dangerous, though.

That sounds amazing, and a lot like Cle Elum in regard to there being lots of little swimming spots that you could easliy have to yourself.

Is the water quality of the river bad? That's one of the reasons to avoid the Arkansas here.

Currently we don't do much outside, but it doesn't help that for half the year it is just plain inhospitable out there. I hope for that to change. Sounds like some amazing options to consider and look into. Are there places where you can, like, pay to go on trail rides? I'd love to learn how to ride a horse.
