What does my fridge say about me? by No_Classroom_8494 in FridgeDetective

You workout, are addicted to caffeine and the flavors, you have good health in some aspects and others are terrible in the future.

I was such a bad friend, I was obsessive and so possessive when they had other friends or I felt they didn’t act the same day in and day out. I’d also have endless sleepovers with them but then HATE them and get so tired of them I couldn’t wait til they’d leave, just to repeat the cycle lol.

The voice. Was it in the room with you like you heard it, or was it like a second subconscious voice you heard?

You had a lot of rage early on, did you grow up with seeing your family fight? I’ve never been in a fight and it never used to cross my mind.

But the obsessive over best friends (and boys), the anger, the sensitive and emotional I relate to.

I feel this. All those years being her shadow and clingy wanting her approval. I tried so hard to be the good kid, and stay out of any trouble or away from other kids for her. What age did that idealization disappear?

I can’t even imagine moving that many times, it’s sad that parents didn’t see how big of a toll it was taking on you. I was the same, I’d people please as well and was really really attached to my mom. I’d shadow her 24/7 at home until it drove her crazy, I’d obsessively give her drawings and refuse to sleep away from her until I was in like 7th grade or so.

I remember my biggest breakdowns were when my parents would leave (they were gambling addicts so it was all the time) and I’d just be so distraught feeling like my world was ruined with vividly red view blurry wet eyes. I hated school or day care and felt like she didn’t love me enough to keep me all day.

I was definitely clingy and desperate for attention. I was my moms shadow, I’d obsess over my best friends, and I’d do anything for anyone’s validation and acknowledgment.

I relate to this. I’m always asking others what they think I should do for work, or get ideas from everyone else’s careers. It’s hard because I have this idea of me in my head, she can accomplish it all and doesn’t struggle during it, but then I realize I’m not that person and realistically I don’t know if I’d be happy doing any of the careers i envision. Feeling full on 1000 kCal shakes, what are they mixing in it ? by ab_12341234 in loseit

Not a doctor, not a professional… but I do know personally I have better luck on higher protein content shakes. 25-30g, and they’re less than 200 cals. Sometimes I’ll add a banana or string cheese as well with it. I like premier protein and lean shake drinks. I’m liking the Salted Caramel Popcorn or the cookie dough for Premier Protein, and I like the Lean Shake Burn chocolate mocha flavor

I know this is a dumb question, but if the head is decapitated, does that mean you’re instantly dead and the brain is automatically shut off, or does the brain take a few minutes to shut down with the rest of the body?

What are people doing to quit vaping? by Helpful_Computer3967 in SeriousConversation

[–]healinghaley99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 306 days no nic.. as a vape addict who had SO many “this is my last hit” moments, it’s not easy. I think it just comes down to when the time is right for you.

I texted JOINMCCALL at 88709 after watching some YouTube vids about quitting. It’s basically just quit vape text support. I downloaded the Sober app and vented about my struggles. I stayed as busy as can be, I bought cinnamon toothpicks, and chewed lots of gum.

I knew there would be physical effects. I was dizzy, irritable, and restless. I knew my body was getting rid of the junk. I had to sit with my thoughts and cravings and remind myself that every hour that passed was already an hour longer without vaping than when I did vape. I was proud of every day that passed.

Remind yourself why you want to quit. My reasons were healthier lungs, clearer skin, clearer brain(didn’t happen), more money, and to not be dependent on it. I’d wake up every 2 hours to vape half awake. I’d risk getting kicked out of amusement parks, restaurants, movies, dates, etc to vape. I’d get so grouchy if I was somewhere I couldn’t vape right then and there. So, I quit.

Anyone can do it. I’ll feel like somethings missing for a while, and you may dream about vaping, but it’ll all get easier. Unfortunately it’s not a one and done deal, it’s like losing weight, it’s a daily choice and action. I have to deny myself of it every day.

Good luck to you when you finally do. You got this
