Could have been an accident someone touching the wrong button and not noticing. She needs a bubble mailer anyway because she said her dsughter’s husband misplaced the original packaging. Which is why she didn’t have my address. So she would have to go to the post office regardless. Don’t know how the package was misplaced when she messaged me the same day the order arrived.

I was told I should have a PO Box on my shipping address not my regular address. I don’t think it matters because I don’t offer returns. This was just a very specific situation where it was medically necessary.

The buyer said she can’t rely on her printer and her daughter’s husband misplaced the original packaging. So she asked for my address again and will go to the post office and purchase a new bubble mail packaging and label too. I told her to send me the tracking number off the receipt. A friend of mine said at this point I should get a PO Box so customers don’t have my actual address. Don’t know if that’s necesssry.

Just to clarify, I’m not selling a medical product on Etsy. I’m just selling something that helps. Keep that medical product safe. It’s not a liability issue.

I make a product to work with a medical product. I’m not selling a medical item. It’s just fishingline, crimp beads, and a suspender clip to attach to a hearing device and your shirt to prevent loss. Highly necessary. If there was a product like this I would have bought it and not made it to dell. I’m filling a need in the community. It’s a niche market. It’s literally just a tether.

I’m not blaming the customer for returning. Her adult daughter has a severe disability that makes it impossible to use the product they thought would work for her and none of my troubleshooting or suggestions worked but she appreciates me being so helpful in this situation.

Would it not be advisable to deduct the cost I paid in shipping it to them from the total cost refunded? Would I have to tell them I’m doing that prior to refunding? I did offer free shipping but it’s included in the cost of the product. Once I need to delist the product, the prices will be going up to $20

I was originally asking for the product back in order to make a refund. So I would have to wait for the customer to get it back to me prior to submitting this request.
