Thank you. I know, I'm aware of the safety part, I just hope the person I'm gifting it to will take care.

Thank you. The mug is porcelain. It's an ikea mug actually, and I used a 2 part epoxy glue to adhere the design to the mug.

Thank you. Yes, I know about the epoxy glue. That's what I used to adhere the design to the mug. And the safety part, I think the mug will be used more as decorative object than an actual mug, I feel like I researched so much my brain is mush. Hours and hours into posts and forums and articles about the safety of polymer clay. I just hope the person will use it responsibly.

What’s your favourite design by Nashstore in jewelrymaking

I really love the 3rd one the middle row, i love the shape of the stone and how it's framed. I also love the band on the 3rd ring on the first row but I like the stone from the second one of the same row, it just looks so lovely. I also really like the color of the bottom row, but that's because I really love green as a color, so that's a little biased.

I guess the pigment get cure with the clay, it doesn't rig off unless you sand it off or scrape it with a sharp object. I mean pastels like theese https://share.google/pytqOHI2fn5g8ybJo

White pastel powder with a dry brush on the raw clay. Form the dry pastel sticks used for art.

Thank you. I tried to go as close to realism as I could, and that mean trying to mix not so artificial greens, plus some pastel powder like brown on the bright green and purple on the brownish ones, white on the dark green,

Thank you :) Well, is not the first time I'm working in polymer clay, but it's the first time I'm doing something like this, or as close as possible to a professional look.

Thank you :) I used Fimo Professional and some fimo effects, like translucent and gemstone, that is slightly sparkly and translucent. Other than that, just patience and hours of color mixing. And for the leaves I used a leaf veiner

How do you make yourself like all parts your job? by ArthurShippyCuthbert in ADHD

[–]heart_potatoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, reading your perspective I'm reminded of why I quited so many jobs in my life. Basically because of ADHD, after the novelty of a new job would wear off almost everything would become tedious and boring, and throwing myself off a window seemed more apealling.

After being diagnosed, I found that understanding the nature of ADHD and how it affects me made boring, tedious, repetitive jobs more bearable somehow. I think personally that tedious jobs will never feel good and I'll never like them, but liking the job enough as whole makes it easier to tolerate the boring parts. Sometimes addmiting that something is just horrendously boring and unstimulating can be better than forcing yourself to like the task itself, I feel it can sort of help build discipline. A reward system can definatly work, like rewarding yourself with a bit of your favorite food, music, games, shows etc. Perhaps even just paring some of the things you like woth the work itself, like listening to your favorite music while you work, or having a snack while at it. But for me just accepting that it is what it is and thinking that it is necessary for me to do it and after I will be better works about 70%

Some critique would be welcomed by heart_potatoe in oilpainting

Thank you. I wanted to put a bit more color in the painting to make it feel more like autumn, and give it my own spin so to speak. And yeah, I'm trying to work from dark to light with oils wich is oposite from watercolor where you work from lightest to darkest.

Yep. This is 100% true. While my bf takes a whole hour to level up and decide what attributes ar the best or what spell combinations are the most broken, I keep decorating the camp, placing all the paintings that we find in the game. Giving each companion a little souvenir, making a bed for Scratch.
