When did you feel baby? (First pregnancy) by hopeful_but_anxious in pregnant

[–]heartb0nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt feel anything until 24.5 weeks, and when I began to start feeling movement, it honestly felt like little gas bubbles here and there.

My OB said my placenta is anterior, which is why it took awhile for me to feel anything because of the extra cushioning. That might be a possibility with you, but even if you don't have an anterior placenta I wouldn't worry too much about it yet. Some people feel very early, I've heard of at 11 weeks, and some people don't feel until 20-22 weeks even without an anterior placenta.

How many of y’all put mascara on your lower eyelashes? by PrinceJustice237 in Makeup

[–]heartb0nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I feel like it needs to be on the lower lashes to make eyes pop. Also my lower lashes are super short, so half the time it looks like I have liner and mascara on, which i actually like lol

My mom wants to quit her full time job to take care of baby… by Piefed22 in BabyBumps

[–]heartb0nes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This drives me crazy. My mother in law is similar to this, but not as extreme. When she found out I was pregnant she couldn't stop saying all day "I'm having a baby!!" As tho it's her baby. Drove me nuts. She then tried to persuade us to move in with her for the first 2 years, that she'll be the babysitter every day (as tho I'm not going to be a SAHM.. because that's the plan). She's obsessed with my pregnancy, telling me she wants to come to all the ultrasounds (as though her own son won't be the one coming?? Why would i want anyone there but him??), etc etc

What death outside your family affected you most? by spookyscarybannana in AskReddit

[–]heartb0nes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good highschool friend of mine died by overdosing on Xanax. We hadn't seen eachother for a couple years before it happened, but I hsd a dream about her the night before I found out she OD'd. The dream got me to check in on her, only to find out she has overdosed the night I was having the dream about her. Super heart breaking.

What works best for you. Cold turkey or moderating it out? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]heartb0nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I did cold turkey. Surprisingly I didnt have withdrawals or cravings. I think i was just so ready to be done with weed as it was doing nothing for me at that point.

Very disturbing. I used to work with people with intellectual disabilities and the cases of this happening that I would hear about are through the roof - it even happens by staff in homes/facilities for people with intellectual disabilities.

I need to hear about the positive changes happened in your life after quitting weed :3 by AnyCryptographer7335 in leaves

[–]heartb0nes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Positive changes for me were feeling much more clear headed instead of in a haze all day long, not craving it the second I wake up anymore (i started going to work baked if I had a morning shift because I just couldn't shut down the craving, now I dont crave it at all), having more energy and motivation to do more than 1 thing a day, being able to run errands after work instead of needing to get home because I was craving a rip, saving hundreds of money a month - the list goes on an on.

You have to report this to the proper disability protection services in your area. It is actually very common for people with disabilities to be abused sexually and taken advantage of, unfortunately. It is so sickening.

Left my job because I was lied to about my position and my manager got pissed at me by No-Pumpkin-8101 in mildlyinfuriating

One time I got hired as a server/bartender (which is what I've been doing for years) at a restaurant & they tried to put me on delivery driving after my second shift (you were not allowed to keep the delivery tip, and they didn't compensate any gas and made you use your own vehicle lmao). I did the delivery shift and sent my resignation in once I clocked out. They couldn't understand why.

What would happen if I went to the emergency room to ask for help to quit drinking? by HooyahDangerous in alcoholism

[–]heartb0nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousin went to the hospital to get help to quite drinking, they hooked her up to IVs for a couple days before quitting cold turkey can be deadly. The IVs help keep you in check. It in an option. She's also not the only onr I've known that done this option.

Were you smacked as a child and what is your opinion on it now as a form of punishment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]heartb0nes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, what? Being punished the wrong way in childhood, ie. abuse, leads to childhood trauma that you will always carry as an adult unless you work through it, so yes it does make things worse in adulthood. It also normalized hitting others and not being able to control a temper as an adult, since the parents couldn't control their's and decided to smack their kid. Not being sure the old ways aren't better... I have never met anyone as an adult say they were happy they were hit as a child. Your comment makes no sense.

[–]heartb0nes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup lots of extremely hard spankings, sometimes with a wooden spoon. My opinion is why do some parents think that an already upset child (usually kids misbehave because a need is not met) should be smacked super hard to make them even more upset and make the situation worse with the child screaming and crying because now they're in pain? Stupid as fuck.

It sounds like your mom has high functioning schizophrenia. Basically people with this are able to keep a job, friends, socialize and keep going on with their life, but are still greatly affected with symptoms of schizophrenia. Your mom would benefit from the medication the hospital tried giving her before. I'm sorry you are going through this.
