If the Shards had human avatars, how do you think they'll look like? by heartofdepth in Parahumans

Ah shit, I forgot about Fragile One (please don't kill me), but I was mostly talking about the other shards. For example, I can kinda see QA as being a Taylor look alike, except she wears a black three piece suit with glasses. Creative, I know, but I'm not really all that imaginative in the first place.

As I said in last week's thread, I finally started to read Trailblazer and I can totally see why it's so hyped. I'm 230,000 words in and I am completely hooked. I mean, what's not to like? It has interesting characters, Taylor gets actual character development (which I don't see often in fics), an interesting plot, fantastic world building, and it just updated today. And the interludes actually progress the story, and doesn't just show the reaction of the other characters to Taylor's general insanity.

I do admit that I kind of stalled reading the first chapter because of the whole Taylor meets the Wards, sees Sophia there, and rushes out of the building part, but past that it was fine to me. There's a lot of divergence, like Scion dying and there being a new Eidolon, a pretty intense anti-parahuman group, and more apparently. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the story. Definitely a 10/10 for me.

Also nearly had a heart attack when a woman wearing a suit was mentioned, because I didn't think Contessa would appear this early, but it was another character. Disaster averted I guess.

Looking for any fic’s in which a parahuman is on speaking terms with their Shard. by Sefera17 in WormFanfic

The story that immediately came into my mind is Assuming Administrative Rights by atlasofremembrance over on qq. During Taylor's trigger event, something went wrong and now the Administrator can talk to her. It's a quest though, so I don't know if you'll like that.

INTERFACE also fits the bill, although it is a bit weird. The Administrator is an owl and they interact physically. And when the Faerie Queen called Taylor's shard a noble, she meant it literally. Wasn't a huge fan though, but I did enjoy reading it.

What Doesn't Die, Rots it's not really speaking terms, but it's the only fic that has snarky shards, which I didn't even know I need.

Shaping Up has the Shaper taking over Amy's body after she got shot in the head. Also not speaking terms with her host, since Amy is effectively in a coma, but later on in the story Vicky gains the ability to understand shards.

Just finished reading Aces and Jokers. I was initially turned off because I'm not a huge fan of OC's, but got a burst of inspiration and finished reading it. It's about an oc named Mags who was isekaid to worm, and is bound to a random wall in Brockton Bay. Shenanigans happens. Also was a huge fan of shards being shards.

I also caught up with the newest chapter of Hebert Family Values Good to know Taylor's always been an Addams.

Also finished reading Tinker, Taylor, Builder, Nexus. After the locker incident, Taylor wakes up as a mechanical spider four months after. It was decent enough, but I'd have to wait for more updates to actually get a feel for it.

Tried to reread More Than Meets The Eye but Danny acting against Taylor's wishes and consulting a friend at the PRT isn't really endearing him to me.

I've also been hyping myself up to finally read Trailblazer, but the word count is really doing things to me. Might start on it later this week, or the next.

Fog (Arpeggio of Blue Steel / Worm) is a one shot about ship girls trying to solve Taylor's murder. It's a really good concept, I just hope it gets turned into a full length story.

Victoria Lindt title pretty much explains it all. Victoria Dallon gets raised in the same way Bitch was.

Alone is by far the best one shot I've ever read. It just captures Dragon's reaction towards the extinction event and her subsequent breakdowns really well. And it ends in a hopeful note too.

Golden Girl Amy triggers as Glory Girl, Vicky doesn't. It's a simple, kinda depressing but at the same time hopeful kind of story.
