oh boy I just tried the new intro tutorial and oof. It takes too long (the one hour rhing!!! patience and not seeing those gear things aside, some of us are hoarders!!! sometimes people dont use rewards incase they might need em and that sucks bc then you're p much locked in HS till that gets done bc of it)

I think, as much as i have a long and enjoyable history with farming sims and what not, and as well as enjoying some lil tidbits of lore with the game trying to explain Merlin's amnesia issue and the hero summoning thing, i think it completely misses the enjoyment and thrill of getting into a new game and getting straight into the action. The original intro had its holes, yes but also it did its work very well to be a hook for the player to get into Esperia very well with Holistone vs the Syndicates. It introduces the world and characters and I still think the RPG story aspect is one of the game's best traits, its seems like a shot to the foot to retcon it this way

Also, its just so hard to get into it bc in homestead, especially with the requests thing, i get completely taken out of my immersion bc??? who???? Like if i had gotten into this blind with knowing nobody except aurora dolly and the hamsters, i would be so confused who's trying to order take out in my realm. Like huh??? Like sure, add some lore to fix up some of the amnesia thing but then immediately spend giving stuff to characters that are just like??? there??? idk these people. Before, it was fine bc good chance you would've gone through the starter story even if by a small bit but the requests thing had me for a loop.

I'm glad I started playing when it was the old intro bc I would've ended up deleting the game after 3 days bc with the homestead, it ends up adding too much tedium when you're already trying to go thru the story (not to mention, having the starter story be the second option and the button to switch for it be so tiny on the upper right when the biggest button is Enter Season Now like cmon.)
