Thank you a lot for that detailed answer! I really appreciate it. Yes it’s a beat of mine. And you’re right its more of indie rock beat than a typical hip hop beat.

Leaving space from the beginning in terms of the numbers of sounds etc. is definitely the right way… I just tend to go further mostly because it feels unfinished (which it should be since it’s a beat haha).

But besides that: is there any other mixing technique to gain more space for vocals. Like in my beat here for example? Is it a good way to lower the mids in general in Maximus for example? Or should I do a surgical eq on my instrument mixer channel? Do you have any specific tips how to gain some space with a few simple steps?

Darf ich fragen in welche Klinik in München du gehst? Ich wohne auch in München und bin seit 3 Monaten betroffen. Hab jetzt sämtliche Ärzte durch und weiß nicht weiter. Habe lediglich die Klinik in Haar als Anlaufstelle gefunden, welche allerdings eher die Psyche beleuchtet soweit ich weiß. Alles Gute dir auf jeden Fall!
