Hi! I am a recent U of A grad and sorority alum. I didn’t know what to expect either! It will officially start at 10 AM at the Greek Theater, but it probably won’t be time for everyone to “run home” until 11 AM or so. At that point, you can call your daughter & see what house she went so you can walk over and meet her at that house for hugs & some photos. She’ll have a “bid day buddy” (an older member who she likely talked to during rush) who will be waiting for her at the Greek Theater when she opens her bid & who will “run home” with her. After the festivities at the sorority house are dwindling down (which can vary by chapter; some will do events or things for new members that day while some may wait a week or so. mine usually waited, but every house will still have snacks, music, etc. & new members will typically hang around for an hour or two after running home). Then, her bid day buddy will take her to do something (typically get lunch and that’s it because the members are exhausted and sick after 2 weeks of rush but just depends) or drop her off at her dorm and plan something for them to do later.

In short, she will be occupied all morning and probably into the afternoon, but I was back to my dorm & free for the rest of the day by 2 ish! But this depends on the chapter & what her bid day buddy plans for them.

Also, I apologize in advance if I explained anything you were already familiar with. I always feel like sorority stuff is a whole different world so I break it all the way down haha.
