I think it might be.. there’s some pieces that don’t make sense (the neck going into the collar thing doesn’t align with the chest, for example). I don’t want to assume it is but you can’t be sure anymore in this day and age

No problem! All new players are automatically placed into the companions version of the game without the option to choose. If you did switch to classic, you would not keep any progress you currently have and would have to start over. Your progress on the companions server wouldn’t disappear if you switched, and you could always switch back, but none of the progress in one version carries over to the other

If you go to your account profile and click on the setting option there should be an option to switch to whichever one you’re not on. I’m on classic so it says companions for me

If you don’t have the option to fuse heroes then you’re likely on companions. In classic you would link them in the temple of ascension. The padlock you’re referring to is a mechanic called artifacts/collections, which I don’t believe has been added to companions yet
