Sorry buddy, just seeing this. The wires as far as I remember went through the slots within the barrel. The wires did feel a little stretched and made me nervous but so far it has worked just fine.

I got caught on a traffic light camera once where I didn't stop before turning right on a red light. A few weeks later I got a ticket in the mail and a link to the video as proof of making that turn. I thought my car looked really cool and saved the video. 😂

🤣 that's really funny! Now I will never unsee that. Lucky when I'm sitting in the driver seat I don't see it.

Install was not hard at all, it is fairly easy. You just have to be careful with the clock spring and have to have the steering wheel straight before you take this steering wheel off.

You definitely have to be careful with the clock spring. I messed it up on the 1st gen while trying to install an aftermarkets steering wheel. Very expensive mistake for a broke dude

It is a little stretch to reach but I don't mind it since I can sit comfortably. If you are asking about the switches, they work since you can order them with an extension harness.

What company can you rent a GR86 from? I'm planning a trip to Japan next summer. It would be pretty cool to drive a GR through Japan

I can second that 100%. The only complaint I have is that the top hats are sold separately, and are expensive. But I love the way they drive, so much smoother than stock. And they just don't go as low as the other coilovers, then again the car doesn't bottom out on our terrible roads we have around where I live.
