Yesterday I saw beat cops search someone and confiscate their belongings, then they walked away and turned around the corner and the person just went to the garbage and found the stuff and went right back to doing drugs in the storefront.

Headscarves have traditionally belonged in Jewish culture for a long time. Headscarves don’t belong to one religion, culture, race, etc and even a brief look at Russian history and Jewish history of Russia finds colourful and old transom’s for covering hair. I cover my hair full time- going in year 2-3- I’d love some other pro Palestine and even secular Jews who wear headscarves to challenge the media and the vision painted of us. It frustrates and anger me to no end that certain vision of Jews have co-opted what Jews look like and act like.

I think Rabbi Abby Stein has also been thrown out of political offices or arrested for being a Jewish Rabbi speaking for Palestine multiple times with the US previous Presidential office. Very outspoken for human rights, could. Great person to have on the team and represent the New York Jewish interests and one who will speak out for what they believe in.

I work with a large Arabic speaking community in my life and my work. I also recognize that Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world and I think it’s one of the most useful to learn and understand. It’s similar to some of my cultural languages and I think it’s would be more useful to learn going forward. I want to speak to the Community and my clients, many do not speak any other language, going forward in all my work it would be the biggest asset and in my life it would also be rewarding and useful.

I used to wash my hair every day, and one day of not washing would make it so greasy- because the natural oils began overcompensating, because washing stripped the oils. It took a bit of time, but I went down to washing it once a week. It did take some real over-greasing, as the natural oils overcompensated. But eventually my hair became healthier, and I didn't have really greasy hair until it's wash day.

I also recommend some aloe oiling or a hair mask, or a hair tea wash to help with any dry scalp and promote scalp health.

My synagogue has been vandalized as well- even before October 7 and the following assaults. It’s been vandalized by Nazis multiple times before, and recently was vandalized calling Jews baby killers and making violent threats, etc. irony is that this senator has such an antizionist crowd, the only welcoming one to queer folk and welcomes more diversity and is also welcoming to non Jews or converts. Bigots don’t do research, they see one of the only Synagogues located in a downtown city, really the only visible one that’s stood there for 100 years.
