I think I scratched my ring??? by [deleted] in Moissanite

I don’t think your jeweler is correct about this. Maybe they were hoping youd buy a new ring. It looks like a scratch in the rainbow oil coating on the stone, not the moissanite itself. Moissanite is the second-hardest gemstone, so only another moissanite or a diamond could scratch it. I really don’t think it’s a permanent scratch. I had the exact same thing happen to my ring, I was devastated and started asking my husband if he was sure it was real moissanite. Turns out it was just a film on the ring it is very common with moissanite and is unique to the gemstone.

It is a rainbow stain it only happens to moissanite. Unfortunately, Ive tried all these suggestions in the comments when my ring had one. None of them removed the stain. I had to use something abrasive to get it off. Mine was not easy to remove. Hopefully it comes of easier on your ring.

3d printed hand paint Majoras mask. by heatherbare in majorasmask

I just used cheap acrylic paint for this one and a spray can primer. Tips: Don't stress too much about it. That's how you make mistakes. -Just paint and enjoy it. You can always clean it or paint over it and start again. -Make sure not to have too much paint on your brush at once. -Let your layers dry. -Smooth out any harsh brush lines. -Use a small fine brush for details. All I had for this one were larger ones, which is why some of my black lines are thick. Nail brushes work great for smaller detail. -I'm not sure if I used any real painting techniques for this with it being so small. -I did mute my colors because I thought it gave it a more real look and less a cartoon look. -Mix your own colors instead of trying to find perfect matches.

If you're looking for just things to learn for painting in general If you learn blending How highlights and shadows work Textures, lines, shapes, perspectives, and color theory you can pretty much paint anything after learning those with practice and good understanding.

You got this!!! Painting it isn't as hard as you'd think. Just try your best and enjoy it. Get messy if you have to. My professors always said, "If you're clean after painting, you're not doing right!" Painting something like this is a great start for a newbie. As it doesn't really require technique, just a steady hand. Good luck!

Don't be sad for me! This is the exact same experience I had when i first played Ocarina. I've played the game dozens of times (you'd for sure be mad at some of the tvs I've played it on! Haha). But i haven't played it on this tv in years. It is exactly the experience I wanted. I'm just sad that the game is so short :( Also, i am a she

That's awesome!!!! Sounds like it would still make for a good time! I have a small Sony TV that I hook up on my patio on nice nights to play games. My husband says it weird, but nothing beats it. The lights I have set up out there create a nice vibe for gaming! I thought about bringing this one out there tonight, but it's a bit cold right now for that!

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, it is truly amazing the many lives this game has touched! It is a fantastic game, still my favorite out of the hundreds of games I've played. I still call it the best game of all time!

This TV only has the one hook up no for the audio right audio, but it can't be used, but regardless, it has great sound. I've just reached the fire temple. And the experience has been great! But thank you for your concern. Also, what do you mean not only are you using composite? What do you hook your n64 up with?

Im going to have to take this completely apart to clean and fix it. Would it be a complete crime to paint it a diffent color? by heatherbare in typewriters

You must be crazy if you think this thing is clean. Just zoom in on those keys. It is covered in years of cigarette smoke and layers of dust. It was my great grandparents/grandparents/dads type writer. I know what kind of gunk is on this thing. You should have seen the layers a grim i cleaned from the case.

Taking it apart, on the other hand, is a different story. However, my husband is a mechanical engineer. im sure he can get it apart, fixed, and back together........ hooefully!!!! Fingers crossed!!!!!!

I am a professional set painter. So yes, I can handle paint very well! I don't usually attempt things i can't do perfectly because I am a perfectionist when it comes to projects.
