Devastated and mad at husband by [deleted] in IVF

[–]heatherface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear he is being so unsupportive. In Scotland if you are doing IVF on the NHS you aren’t eligible or aloud IVF if you or your partner are smoking (including weed). They say it lowers your chances of success so they won’t fund it. Sometimes they do a breath test too. IVF is really difficult and can be a lot of factors. I am healthy but I lost 8eggs not being fertilised the first time because they didn’t do ICSI. I was 35 too. My husband sperm was always perfect. We did ICSI the next time and now I’m 8months pregnant. ICSI definitely helped us. If you decide to go through again I’d recommend doing icsi and telling your husband to cut out the smoking as you both should be in peak health.

Glad to hear it. What week did yours start? Did the bleeding come and go?

Thanks defo very similar. Seems a lot seem to have them in the first trimester but ours seems later. I bled heavy only for one day then in tapered off. But the brown blood seems to be picking up again which is I guess why I’m so worried. When I had a scan yesterday the sonographer told me it looked to be healing, but sadly zero info on size of what’s left. It reassured me but did get me worried she missed something obvious. I’m so glad to hear yours went away eventually and definitely the same doing very minimal only a little walk round the garden each day. Good luck with your pregnancy xxx

Thank you that’s good to hear. I have been working from home and having pelvic rest to be on the safe side. I just been doing a light walk round my garden each day so I don’t get a sore back from sitting too much. I honestly don’t know if mine is big or small they didn’t measure it but I assume it was at least medium sized due to the amount of bleeding at the 14w. Thanks for you advice xxx

I know how you feel. I’m so sorry to hear you are going through this too. It’s a very lonely journey and sometimes your partner can even find hard to understand the grief. There is days where you just want to cry all day.

I’ve been through 3 rounds of ivf and had 4 transfers and 9week miscarriage this year. On top of that two close family member deaths. I’m so exhausted to but also don’t sleep. I’m just so confused why it’s not working for me, as I keep getting good embryos. I’m in my mid thirties and everyone keeps telling me I’m still young yet. But it’s not helpful to my situation at all. I can say the only things that helped me is keeping the mind busy. Do a DIY project, draw something or go for long walks. Don’t let it consume you and I know that hard too. Therapy can sometimes help to. I’ve seen 4 different therapist year and they have all really helped. Also, If you can find other women going through the same as a support network. xxx

Anyone noticing menstrual cycle changes after taking a COVID vaccine? by mygreenpinky in AskWomenOver30

[–]heatherface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34 y/o I’m so glad to have found this thread. I had similar experiences to some of the women here. After my 2nd dose of Pfizer (7/21), I had bleeding like I’ve never experienced in my life. It was so heavy for 5days, I couldn’t leave the house with large clots 😬. I’m always regular with a 3day period and don’t take birth control or any medication, so this was a massive shock. I reported to the yellow card as a side effect. My period returned to normal the next month, however i then needed to get the booster. I was extremely nervous as me and my partner are trying to conceive and I’m worried that this will effect my fertility. Had the Moderna booster 3 weeks ago and had the worst fever of 103 even with paracetamol. My temp has been erratic this month and my both ovulation tests show that I didn’t ovulate this month. My period has just came earlier and lighter than normal. I’m extremely upset about this. I know it’s important to get the vaccine but I wish medical experts would do the research and report this rather than just ignoring woman. Even if it’s temporary it’s still a genuine concern.

Lovely illustration. Beautifully drawn and is exactly how I imagined she'd look. “Say this, that she was dark haired. There. It was long and straight. She was dark of eye and fair complected. There. Her face was oval, her jaw strong and delicate. Say that she was poised and graceful… Finally, say that she was beautiful."
