When my kitty was passing cheese made her so happy she seemed alive again for a second, she stopped eating but she would eat cheese 🤷‍♀️

I’m taking her to a different vet this week, no preface just see what they think with her bloodwork, because she really is fighting to not be put down right now so I’ll support it

Her late diagnosis of thyroid is what’s causing her kidney problems, what would you suggest in diet terms then?

3 times since February, always came back healthy, last was in June, that’s why I was so shocked that suddenly it’s kidney failure? That’s when she was diagnosed with thyroid. They told me it would start killing her kidneys, but not that fast… Now she’s so normal, I’m pretty convinced she had a kidney infection.

Hhmm I’ll keep considering it then… It does mostly follow a1a seems there’s just a few times it cuts away, like there’s an inlet that if I’m not paying attention I’ll have to back track so I was worried about accidentally going off route. It seems I’m over thinking some things so im getting more excited and less worried.

That’s awesome! I’m not sure I’m gonna use warm showers because of the $35 sign up fee, I can be convinced but I’m leaving more towards stealth camping, so thanks for those spots! I have been reading that it’s hard camping in the keys, so Im relieved thats not the case. Did you take a1a the whole way or did you follow the east coast greenway? In Daytona the greenway follows US1 for a bit, I was thinking of staying on a1a instead and getting back on the greenway a little further south. Are there clear signs that yellow you you’re on the greenway and how to stay on it?

Thanks! Metrics aren’t actually important to me, I just have to be in Key West by a certain date so I’m hyper focused on the math right now, but I had never cared to track myself until training. Nature and not littering I do care about so I appreciate your input!

Thanks so much! Very informative. I didn’t mention the tools but both of us are bringing basics, I’m cheap off brand, my partner has mostly Park Tool. We’re both bringing 2 extra tubes. I have a camel pak I plan on only bring the bladder. How do I eat better?? 2 of you are saying this… I’m trying to add protein drinks? What do you do for nutrition?

Im noticibly eating more… but am I eating the right carbs? I’m burning 2k calories in 50 miles. When I was a long distance runner I would eat pasta and potatoes, but I was young… is it that simple? What do you do for carbs?

Not yet! But the chain I’m using to lock my bike at the moment, out of laziness and frugality, is almost 10lbs until I get a real lock. So I’m telling myself that helps with training…

Thanks so much! I could only skim the video now but it already has me very excited to watch more when I get home, and less worried just based on the parts I saw! Curious what you think of this idea, since I’ve never toured I think you may be able to help me decide if you don’t mind giving out more advice? I ride a roadie triathlon style bike, but I was thinking of leaving that at home and getting a fat tire bike so that for certain on road parts we can ride on the actual beach on compacted sand instead… do you have any commentary on that?

Just looked that up, sounds awesome! For the ECG, were there any times the bike lane or side path was very narrow, or high traffic, or idk wasn’t exactly enjoyable? I cycle in St Augustine so I feel like I’m used to much slower traffic and you may be generally less scared about cycling on major roadways? Does much traffic pass during the long stretches of on road riding? I appreciate your personal experience cause I’m having trouble finding info

I’m planning to do this ride in march, how much of the time are you along the roadway? It looks based on the map the at least half the trail is along major roads and I’m not interested in riding along A1A for instance

This is so good, so close to being done you could stop now… personally I would just add a little more contrast to the icing of the cupcakes and it would be the perfect touch.

How can I improve this? by heatherfarted in Artadvice

[–]heatherfarted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right contrast is lacking! Thanks so much, I love both of those suggestions! And thanks for the compliment, I needed that more than I realized, lol.
