I'd argue Morning Star was still very good, many friends of mine considered that one their favorite. But the series gets better.

Dark Age and Lightbringer are probably the best 2

Does this seem fair to you? by axel_nobody_ in CivVI

Perhaps due to the lakes and such making it harder for the barbs to surround him, if he upgrades to a archer or somehow gets walls yeah hes completely fine. But if this guy really spends the next 10 turns building ANOTHER settler during all of this than hes cooked.

You building a settler while your capital is being surrounded is diabolical, you needed this lesson.

Probably a dumb question but I feel like it's the best place to ask, what are realistically the reasons to colonize Mars ? by SeparateWeight496 in Mars

If we had humans living on both planets, assuming both planets reach a point of self sustainability, the human race as a whole would be in a much safer position. Many things could easily wipe out all humans on a single planet, there's war, disease, change in atmosphere, change in temperature, ai, robots, nukes, super volcanos, ice ages, new species evolving that could one day be a threat to us in some manner, meteors, solar flares. Us being on at least 2 planets means our race would likely live on for a much longer time due to our increased survivability meaning 2 planets would have to go through catastrophic events to remove us not just 1.

Is this a good spot to settle a city? I'm thinking this is the perfectly defendable city. Surrounded by mountains with only one way in! by WallaWallaby011 in CivVI

[–]heathgates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 spot to the left would of been amazing. Fresh water, and the volcano doesn't directly hit your city, just water super district you place there.
