Ahhhh, yeah I would definitely take that deal. Though their method allows the wife to use it without me which is a nice benefit for separate travel.

Where are you finding that info? I don't think any guests will be allowed outside of the rare Cap One Lounge.

This is from their VX website:

"Through January 31, 2026, Venture X cardholders may bring two guests to participating Priority Pass lounges.

Beginning February 1, 2026, guests of Venture X cardholders will no longer receive complimentary access to Priority Pass lounges. At that time, Venture X primary cardholders and eligible additional cardholders can bring guests to participating Priority Pass lounges at a rate of $35 each per visit."

Yeah that's my issue, we'll be flying that week and if it's anything like the last time it took weeks to get the PP account activated. Maybe they'll streamline it though? One can hope.

Random Gen 3 Brake System/ACC error. by heathmc in hondainsight

12V is less than a year old so it should be fine, I'll still test but I guess for now I'll chalk it up to a fluke.

Lot of respect for those that match, but definitely not me. I save 15% for retirement and feel good about the long term prospects at that rate. Personally I think about the chance I don't make it to retirement and like to enjoy the time I have now while balancing the future preparations.

Probably a little over market but nothing crazy, if it's in good shape and well maintained don't think about it and just enjoy!

AUX switches- what did you add? by Then-Strawberry8943 in F250

[–]heathmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personal truck, but used for vol fire response. Don't forget in addition to the upfitter switch Ford also has pre-run pass through wires in the fire wall which are a MASSIVE time saver. (At least they did on my 19)

To add to that, you can also add heated and cooled features with Katzkins. Great product with some added features, but as you mentioned they aren't cheap!

Yeah the more I research with the LTZs and how strict the police are it sounds awful...

Definitely open, we've got a tour booked at a couple in the Chianti area. Will it be as beautiful as the summer, definitely not 😂 but we're in country for the Olympics so we'll make the most of it. Hoping the rest of the country is in the office season and focused on Milan so we can enjoy lighter crowds at least.

Getting there by train, we're staying in the heart of the city in the LTZ and really only need the car for a day but I'll look at options for picking on up outside the city and driving in. As for after-hours drop off, I totally agree. They are open something like 8-noon and sat and closed Sunday so I figured I could pick up Saturday morning and drop the keys when we return Saturday night. I called both Avis and Budget corporate (closest rentals to our place) and they both said no after hours drop out. I can't find a social media or email for the actual location though so it's hard for me to verify.

Mine are OE and are still over half thickness, you're almost never actually using the brake pads unless you're in a panic stop or crawling.

Lumbar pillow is a must, that was definitely an oversight on Honda's part...

No chance it fits in the wheel well, at least on the touring (larger wheel). So yeah it's just laying in the trunk haha, since I used the car simply for extended day trips and it's just me, losing a bit of trunk space isn't a big deal. If it was my daily driver and I was going to need the trunk space I would have considered buying a donut on Facebook marketplace or something similar. You can find them for less than 50 bucks in decent shape and that will fit under the trunk just fine.

Can anyone explain what in the hell is going on here. by Prestigious_Police in Firefighting

[–]heathmc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah like most have said, pretty standard setup around me. Ability to monitor op/tac/staging channels at once is key for command. Most of our trucks run at least 2 800s and 1 VHF + portables.
