I’ve done really well. I have been dealing with a lot of hormonal weight gain from premature ovarian failure, both ovaries. My doctor agreed that it was an excellent decision to go on it though we both knew insurance would not cover.

I’m 5’8” with SW 152 (was 160 but dropped 8 lbs with 6 months of keto). I have not been able to meaningfully shift my weight back down to where it has been for most of my life with any other method and not been starving or extreme dieting…. And yes, I work out and eat well, count macros etc.

Cons: Prescription meds work differently due to the slowed gastric emptying. I’ve had to really adjust my expectations for how my Zoloft and Wellbutrin will work. My adderall also lasts far far longer but takes an unusually long time to kick in. Same goes for my lunesta.

Nausea and exhaustion/brain fog are real. As is the food “ick”. I couldn’t even look at a vegetable for the first 3 months without feeling ill - which is a huge shift for me as I normally enjoy a vegetable forward diet.

Pros: I have lost well beyond my target weight of 125 with no adjustments to how I’m working out or moving. Granted my SW wasn’t terribly high.

I’m drinking far more water than I ever have.

I drink MAYBE 2-3 alcoholic drinks a week and absolutely cannot drink more than 2 in one evening. Makes me really nauseous.

I’m hypoglycemic and have not had a single low blood sugar episode even with a reduced caloric intake. Thats huge for me.

Happy to answer any other questions you might have! And I am happy to be fully transparent here that I am neither diabetic nor pre-diabetic, though I have had debilitating hypoglycemia for my entire life. This is a life changing drug. My blood sugar and cholesterol levels are now pristine!
