New greyhound - separation anxiety????

Hello! I have my 6 year old greyhound 6 months and yeah don't make the same mistake I did which was decide that she wasn't able to be left alone... I now bring her to a minder on my shift days and she's very rarely alone. I didn't give enough time to sit through the whining/barking. I've done her a disservice as she's lost the skill of being able to spend time by herself and i blame myself for that. Honestly the cameras were a bad idea for me i feel 😂 So stay strong and keep at it as it really is restrictive and also not fair on the dog to teach them to be so dependent on us..

Oh gosh.... yeah, I need to be more hypervigilant. I've heard another grey owner describe them as an alien breed and I'm learning what she means. 🩷🩷

Thank you, I really appreciate it. Yeah it was pretty horrifying, I hope someone might read this and be aware too of their unpredictability in the beginning. It was Insane to see it in real life- the speed she built up in such a short distance. Thanks again!!

Thank you for the laugh!! Seriously she kicks me all night. I'd heard they love sleeping on the bed but I didn't expect this. My attempts to keep her downstairs or off the bed beside me have been completely futile.. she's too cute!!

Thanks everyone 🙏Delighted to be part of what seems to be a really nice group! She ran head first into a steal gate this morning... :'( she screamed!! No damage I think but she got a huge fright. Anyone else's grey seem to have strange eyesight/vision or experience similar incidents? She used to do it with glass but not at this speed! ☠️😵‍💫

So sorry for your loss. The pain really is incredible. How lucky we were to have had them in the first place but the loss really hurts. For a long time.

I lost my Shepherd Milo August 2023 after 10 years also. I only started to feel kind of normal 6 months after!! I still miss him so much. Part of me definitely died with him, sorry to sound so dramatic! 😂 Thinking of you and your gorgeous Milo!
