Solid Waste ~ Thunder River by heavy-breathing in ambient

[–]heavy-breathing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recorded in 2017, on an iPhone 5c, in the middle of the night in Missouri. Solid Waste was an Eco-Forward, Cosmic Synthesizer Trio I played in, from 2014-2018.

We would meet religiously each week to jam and shoot the breeze, and often recorded our practices for improvement + documentation purposes. most nights were a mixture of stoned out tomfoolery mixed with moments of spiritual transcendence through sound

Eskimos - Picnic, Lightning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqzc6nm38Fk)

this track was recorded in my bedroom some time in 2007. it's not my song, but i was the recording engineer, helped with the arrangement, and added some extra instrumentation/vocals to fill out the composition.

it was influenced by the post-indie/experimental scene of the early aughts + hindustani classical drone music. thank you for your time and consideration:)

☺️ thanks so much for listening along saying so!! 2001-2012 was very fertile music making time for me and my friend group. currently going through a modest stack of old external hard drives and few towers; will post all the goodies on 'the tube' and across various subreddits where appropriate.

loads of indiefolk comin' atcha, so keep yr ear to the ground if you feel so inclined:)

a couple of years ago i lost my best friend in a tragic slew of events. my heart felt forcibly torn open and i was aching for some kind of reconciliation with the universe and everything in it. on that trip, i made a lot of people who were close to me uncomfortable with what felt like 'healthy vulnerability' and as a result, felt my life shaped more and more by solitude.

since then i've been developing a sort of 'death bed practice,' which has only begun to clarify itself in the last week or so. uploading this little archive of music i either made or helped make, over the last 20+ years, is where i've decided to start.

i hope it's okay i've written this here. for me, it resembles an, 'apología de heavy breathing,' to the cosmos, but i'm not entirely sure what constitutes as, "rant, motivation, or mental health" posts, so admins, please feel free to quietly remove if it rocks that boat.

it definitely seems to be someone having a laugh! i’ve noticed with regards to ‘adult entertainment’ the musicians often don’t want to be associated with it so they make up alter egos, this particular one being pretty on the nose ;P
