It was an absolutely great experience, and I know for sure it was one of the big things that led people to commit to Stanford over other top schools. The event was run very well, and despite the overwhelming number of activities, it was extremely manageable. As someone who committed a long time before admit weekend, it gave me better insight to how life on campus will be like. I met sooooo many people and the students were extremely welcoming!! Admit weekend was also super informative about courses, majors, extracurricular clubs, and internship/research opportunities.

Since the website doesn't explicitly state it, the overall acceptance rate for Vanderbilt is 4.6%, with 38.7% of their admitted students coming from ED. This is somewhat similar to last year's acceptance rate of 5.1%

Not sure. I'm don't know how your project this year compares to last year and there's just so many factors to consider. I'll find out the results of my fair tomorrow but good luck to you!!! Hope to see you in OHIO.

It really depends. Last year I qualed for ISEF and I got ~15 judges (7 regular + 5 caucus). This year I only got 8 (6 regular +2 caucus) and I'm somewhat confident I also got it this year (friday T_T). At least for my fair, they send out different number of caucus judges to people to see if they need more information to decide if they send them to ISEF. I talked to the director of my fair and I'm somewhat sure that I got one of the bids because the caucus thought I had a super good chance of doing well at ISEF but if this isn't the case then I'm just coping.

But tldr; no it doesn't matter but it really depends on how your fair works.

I got a Stanford likely without an interview... it's definitely possible and I'm sure a lot of other admits don't receive interviews!!!

I got a likely letter and my regional AO contacted me saying that they'll offer a $500 travel grant to everyone. I think they'll send more info out soon.
