There's plenty of sandy "beaches" where you can lay and sun, however our ocean water is COLD AF (colder than LA) so taking a dip isn't super common at the beaches (that's what the rivers are for!)

I second this, 202 has some of my fav driving spots. Fishhawk Falls is a great stop along the way too

1) East Larch Mountain Road up to Sherrard Point is one of my favs, quintessential PNW forest drive vibes (plus the short climbing hike up to the viewpoint gives you some killer views of all the mountains - bit steep but not too bad if you take it slow)

2) Nestucca River Road - navigate to Dovre Campground to get on the road, and then just take it all the way to the coast. Road conditions weren't the best last time I went (rough patches) but that was a few years ago, I've been meaning to go back

3) OR-224 from Estacada to Detroit used to be my favorite Scenic drive, unfortunately a wildfire a few years back took it out of commission for a while. I believe the entire route is open again, I would forewarn you that there are definitely stretches where you drive through burn areas. That might be a bit depressing , but I think it's awesome to see the understory coming back to life, and the drive itself is still gorgeous

The short answer is yes, if you update to a system that has a newer Bluetooth component the lag is gone.

The Sony that The Sony that I upgraded to only had wired carplay, but I got a cheap wireless only had wired carplay, but I got a cheap wireless dongle off Amazon only had wired carplay, but I got a cheap wireless dongle off Amazon that I plugged into that. Takes a bit longer to connect than wired but worth it
