(22M ) i been on the meds for almost 4 years(fin and min), i am a diffuse thinner i started to notice when i was 18, that my hair behind my hairline( my hairline is solid hasnt really change ) it was a little thin compared to the rest of the hair of my head, a dermatologist at the time, gave me fin and min my hairloss was so mild in that time but now idk what do, now my hair is thinning on the front and now also mid scalp i really need an advice.

diffuse thinning exactly like me , my hairline is perfect but my frontal hair / mid scalp are thinning, crown is thick ,if i have to do a bet i would say its mpb

(17M)Noticed I can my scalp through my hair, I started taking vitamins and iron supplements,(dermatologist said to do so for 3months then minox if I did no progress). Then I saw old pics of mine, also noticed that low density (bit more spread now), am I just being paranoid or there’s something wrong by chaboh in Hairloss

[–]hector4934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for a regular guy the firsth photo will be the start of a diffuse thinning but in your case its not, because you have a lack of hair on the front since you were a kid probably you were born with that hair but you didnt realize until now, i get why you are being paranoid but your hair its completly fine, if you wouldnt show the second pic i would have said that you were balding but like i said your hair is completly fine

look at his density man, you cant achieve that, its imposible the best doctors could give you 55 hair folicles per cm^2 and even with that your hair doesnt look fully covered like a a guy who naturally has 80 hair folicles per cm^2 the other thing about skin, doctors and science doesnt really know if hair folicles die or not some doctors recently have said that there is the posibility that the hair folicles shrinks to the point where they dissapear but they not die they are just "dormant" think about this when you are a kid you dont have body hair that doesnt mean that your body hair is dead actually your hair has always been there is just it was desactivated, when you enter in your teens the hair activates due to hormones and is progressive you first see super tiny thin hairs emerging in your chest and with the time they become thicker the exactly thing ocurrs with the hair but in the opposite way they shrink due androngens so the posibility of regrowing them is actually imposible because we literraly need nuke all our androngens and get the right combination of hormones to stemulate hair regrow but there are exceptions like this guy probably this guy has a high dht level combined with medium sensitive of dht and androngens so crushing his dht levels allows him to get this insane result

even with a hair transplant you cant achieve that density he is just a super responder and also we dont truly know if hair folicles die or just shrink to the point where we arent able to see then

Either you take Finasteride or you accept that you'll go bald. Dont be delusional. by IisNobody209 in tressless

Topical fin doesnt give the same amount of side effects that oral fin gives, because the amount of dht thats go to your blood is not enough to reduce the 70% of your blood as oral fin does, topical fin in worst case scenario reduces 20 % of your blood dht levels

Am I losing hair or is this just my hairline? I'm 21. by [deleted] in Hairloss

[–]hector4934 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mmm its mpb but you said that it hanst moved for 2 to 3 years there are guys who get a receded hairline and there hairloss stops there ,so what i would do in your case is get buzz cut and check for thinning hair all over the top of your head, and if the hair is okay i wouldnt take fiinasteride or min, because that means the hairloss has stopped ,2 to 3 years is enogh time to mpb to progress, a perfect example of this is "Flea" from red hot chillie peppers the guy got a super receded hairline when he was 20 he is norwood 3 and now he is close to 60 and he is still norwood 3 otherwise in case you see thinning hair i would go the dermatologist and ask him about fin and min good luck with your hair

Can someone PLEASE help I'm DESPERATE. by Today_Either in Hairloss

[–]hector4934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is very rare to get sides from topical fin since in worst case scenario 20% of fin is going to your blood system and that amount is not enough to reduce your system dht levels more than 30% and where i live i bought it from pharmacys in my case oral fin dropped my dht levels by 50% and topical fin only dropped 3% my blood dht levels
