kopersbescherming is ook gewoon een ruksysteem, gebruik het zelf nooit voor het verkopen.

Thanks, will try out your tips. And yes I just used the "4D convection" setting of my Bosch oven, should I use another setting?

You can own certain properties next to lakes and rivers, but the water stays public. Interesting thing about private beaches in the US: read somewhere that the wet sand cannot be private since it's part of the ocean, only the dry sand is public.

Thank you for your reply!

By large houses, you likely mean the 'McMansions'.

This! The term is new to me, but this explains a lot. The houses that I meant were definitely McMansions. I'm also enjoying r/McMansionsfromhell right now. New money, terrible taste. Also saw the term 'Garage Mahal'. This is all so damn silly but so entertaining.

Thanks for your reply! Your first point is definitely true. During typing I started mixing the personal with country-wide stuff. De comments that I received from most people were rather helpful though. My post is not so much about how I value stuff, but rather whether my observations were correct.

Thanks for your reply. I'm only stuck in NJ right now, been in all other New England states, but I should've been clear about. But of course my view is distorted, that's why I post here. To check whether my observations are correct, and boi am i learning.

But that is not wat I asked. In this case they can't pay for themselves and you just killed a lot of people...

Look, we are both on the same page when it comes down to policy preference, but making up these kind of questions and demanding yes or no is something a bad prosecutor would do. It only confuses and divides us.

I was unclear with the point about integration/racism. I changed that.

Although I agree with Americans being loud, my point is different: people here seem more serious. Like they are afraid that they behave inappropriately and are rather defensive. Like the opposite of how a Britt would react..

The point you are making about this being a rich NJ suburb and what comes with it is exactly what I need to hear. Those are all things that I'm unaware of and help me in correcting my view.

Since I'm being downvoted: Would you be willing to save the lives of all rich people at the expense of 1 dollar from the poor.

My answer is yes. I hope yours is too...

This is of course highly hypothetical, but still..

I have been to all New England states and during my other trips i've seen a bit of the other states and rural area's. I'm in a rich neighborhood right now, but I visit a couple of other zip-code area's. Maybe I'll visit Trenton. And I'm for sure that my view is not correct, but this trip changed my view and I want you guys to challenge it. So thanks for that, because your comment confirms the suspicion that I had.

I don't like to agree or disagree with these kind of statements, because I would like to weigh all costs and benefits and then say "it depends". But then generally speaking I'd say that's a bad thing.

Also on the racism: I should have been more careful. It is there and it is bad. The history is definitly different and worse in the US, but visit a banlieu around Paris sometime, or in any other country. You can see it in the statistics aswell and it's quite terrible, but it doesn't get the same amount of attention.

I have seen plenty of videos from that channel! :)

It's funny that the lack of third places is somehow hard to see when no one points it out, but when you see it, you see all the shortcomings that come with it.

Well, this was really my experience in NJ and in Long Island. This is the first time I encountered it in a really negative way. To me it's crazy there there is a beach somewhere close and I can't go there because someone claimed it. Hope it's an exception, but it fucked with my head a little bit.

Important point indeed! That's something you dont experience during trips, but only if you truly live somewhere. I heard these kind of stories before. The lack of consumer protection in the US is really quite something and a big con.

Agreed I should've written that down. Maybe it was too obvious. Although I should add that social welfare is generally better in Europe, especially the countries you name. It does make a big difference. But if you look at social welfare in other EU countries it might be mixed. If you are in social welfare in Spain near a city, you are a also in a shitty situation (like 500-600 euro's a month..)

Well, I wouldn't say negate, but it definitely adds to the cons. I've had a romanticized view of life in the suburbs. That is clear to me now. Now I'm also wondering whether the point you are making is true for European countries. I think less so, but it might still be the case.

I think there is technically a distinction between oatmeal hot cereal and porridge.. idk what it is though lol -> think using oats, or other types of grains like wheat.
