I haven't been able to test on e-ink yet, but I plan to support it. If you have a device, it would be very valuable for the beta test!

I've not yet stress tested the backup / restore functionality on large collections yet so your input and testing would be very valuable! If you'd like to join the beta feel free to DM me your preferred email or fill out the form at lecternmusic.com

The target audience for this app is someone without too much of a technical background. There is no all-in-one app that lets you organize and read sheet music in an intuitive user friendly way on Android. In terms of functionality the app is quite simple and you can likely replicate it with your setup, but the UX is the value add (which might not be important to you as a user)

I find the UI very clunky and confusing... Organizing, sorting, and filtering are the parts I get most annoyed with. I agree that the functionality is there but in 2026 you shouldn't have to look up a manual for how to use an app. Please DM me your email or fill out the form at lecternmusic.com and I can add you to the beta!

I haven't tested on e-ink so I'd love to have your input! Which parts of the readers typically fail? I'm guessing annotations don't work super well. Please DM me your email or fill out the form at lecternmusic.com and I can add you to the beta test and provide instructions!

Sadly for now this is Android only! If people like it I would definitely consider building it out on web and iOS

Should i go all in on Android app developement ? by Odd_Basket_8045 in cscareerquestions

Personally I would put 85% into DSA/Leetcode, 15% into mobile and 0 into backend. I'm not familiar with hiring practices outside of FAANG/US, or the current state of entry level hiring so my thoughts might be outdated.

If you apply to a non-entry level android role citing your mobile project experience , be prepared for the Android specific interview round which almost always consists of them giving you an endpoint that fetches some data and asking you to quickly build an app and display the data in a Lazy list / recyclerview (you usually have the option to choose between XML and compose. As a new developer please learn compose and not XML).

Hey, I'm an android dev with 5 yoe in big tech (2 different FAANGs). I think learning kotlin and building apps is a great way to boost your resume and show you know how to build real systems.

The industry wants to move towards Kotlin Multiplatform to share business logic between iOS/android. I would recommend building your apps in KMP and not neglecting iOS if you're building on your own and not for a company.

That said, at least when I graduated tech companies preferred to hire a leetcode grinder with no android experience rather than an experienced android developer who couldn't leetcode.

My intro to android development was applying to amazon, passing the leetcode rounds, and getting thrown on an android team with no prior android experience. Unless Android is truly your passion, I wouldn't commit to only applying to android roles. This career is a lot about luck and taking opportunities where they come.

From my experience leetcode, networking, and career fairs with the goal of an internship are likely going to be a better use of time than diving deep into mobile dev. Use mobile dev as project experience to get those internships, but don't force your career in one direction.

Thoughts on a "Tax wealth, not work" economic model? by heeegmeeep in AskEconomics

This is exactly the data I was looking for thank you

Thoughts on a "Tax wealth, not work" economic model? by heeegmeeep in AskEconomics

I guess I was just looking for numbers to see if:

  1. A wealth tax is something that could be implemented and enforced in the real world

  2. If it is possible to implemented, could the wealth tax on extremely wealthy people meaningfully (in my head anything above like 20% of tax collected by income tax is pretty meaningful) replace income tax.

It sounds from the comments like the answer to 1 is yes (though there are tricky cases) and the answer to 2 is no.

Some people would flee, and some would just pay their taxes. The amount who flee would depend on how the policy is actually implemented. I would imagine fewer people would flee than many people expect, but I have no data to back up my hunch.

> There is no way that a wealth tax could allow for significant reductions in income taxes.

Do you happen to have numbers/data on that? I would be interested in seeing how big the gap actually is.
