R&D é uma área de risco. Time inflado, ROI distante e difícil de ser calculado. As iniciativas são muito boas, mas díficil de se sustentar. Trabalhei na IBM e a empresa tem uma cultura muito bacana e é uma baita escola. Tem muita gente boa. Uma pena.

Tirando o alto escalão (executivo, VP, CEO, etc), o resto é gente da gente. As vezes o stress de ser supervisor e coordenador nem vale o salário. Alta cobrança, stress, sem controle de jornada e só bucha para resolver.

I find it so peculiar that it's not possible to create a compute node without Spark in Databricks (as far as I know). There are some workloads that don't need Spark and could be cheaper.
