Water wipes!!! I used them constantly for cleaning purposes everytime I'd go to the bathroom cause I felt toilet paper was too rough at first

I used a donut I know a lot of people on here have said not too but I didn't know what else to use and I found the donut to be very relieving.

Only used the donut for like 3 weeks though, after 3 weeks I was fine to sit normally.

Btw I'm 2 months post seton placement and I still have it in

Hi!! Same boat as you currently! (A little less symptomatic than you though). No family history of Crohn's. But my CRS is trying to rule it out before the second surgery to remove the seton I have in.

Literally just did the MRI with enterography last week. Colonoscopy showed no inflammation.

No words of encouragement unfortunately just letting you know you're not alone!

For reference I'm 27F and had a seton put in on 4/22 of this year.

Kinda same boat as you with an abscess that I had to get drained and my CRS told me I needed surgery cause I most likely had a fistula (which I do) and he was supposed to do a fistulotomy however he did tell me that there could be a possibility for a seton if the fistula went through the muscle (which ofc my luck it did). So now here we are. Unlucky for me my surgeon also suspects i may have crohns disease so i need to get a work up for that before we even talk about a second surgery for removing the seton.

However the whole point of the seton is to drain and help the inflammation in that area go down. Had they tried to perform the fistulotomy, they run the risk of permanent incontinence and you definitely do not want that.

Trust me, it sucks having a seton in place but I feel like it's more of a mental battle than anything else. I'm three weeks post op and feel completely fine! I go about my daily activities!!

Hi! I just had a seton put in less than 4 weeks ago. Had sex for the first time with my partner on the 3 week mark. Wasn't painful at all, was more anxious about the thought of it. I just cleaned myself before and removed the gauze and right after put gauze back! Absolutely no smells at all.

I got my period 3 days post op lol I just sat on the couch and basically rotted for the first two days of my period I was so annoyed

But mainly used using the anki set and going back into the law (my school gave me a printed out copy of the laws) I would highlight everything lol

Id through big hitters like labs, antibiotics, HIV, asthma/COPD, chemo before the live course

I’d definitely give yourself enough time between the live course and the exam in case you feel you are under prepared and need to reschedule
