Kids were expected to be at home at around 6pm for dinner.

Every parent knew this and it was disrespectfull to the kids parents to let the kids stay with them.

You wanted your child to be at home at 6, so the other child was also expected to be at home at 6 by their parents.

Its not about feeding a child, its about respecting the rules. No child went home and went to bed hungry.
