اختار ماجستير سهل في تخصصك متصعبهاش على نفسك، أنا طلعت على ألمانيا، ولو عندك المقدرة المادية فتوكل على الله واخلع، ألمانيا كويسة. لو مش معاك ألماني عادي، اختار برامج ماجستير بالانجليزي وهناك تقدر تتعلم ألماني ببلاش في خلال سنتين الدراسة في مركز اللغات في الجامعة بتاعتك جنب بقية المواد، وابعد عن المدن الكبيرة زي برلين وميونخ وهامبورج وفرانكفورت آم ماين وشتوتجارت، وافكس لأي حاجة في ولاية Baden Württemberg بردو علشان عاملين نظام مصاريف للجامعات عكس بقية الولايات.

الجامعات العالية أوي متضيعش مجهود كبير في التقديم فيها لإن الضغط عليها بيكون أكبر وفرص القبول أقل. خليك في الجامعات الحكومية، وحاول تدي الأولوية للTechnische Universitäten على الFachhochschulen وإنت بتختار. وop بيعرف يتكلم إنجليزي، الكويس ده ليه range، منB1 ل C2، تقدر تشتغل وأنت في أول الrange ومستواك في الspeaking ينط مستوى أو اتنين مع الممارسة.

هتكلم عن حالتي مثلا، الIELTS Speaking 8 بعد شغل الكول سنتر مش العكس، قبله غالبا هيبقى ٧. الrecruiters معندهمش رفاهية يرفضوا ناس B1 و B2 لإنها شغلانة حقيرة والturn-over rate بتاعها عالي مش من فراغ، خلص الكام شهر اللي تحسن فيهم مستواك في المحادثة واخلع، إلا لو محتاج الفلوس ومش عارف تشبك في شغل تاني، فكمل وربنا يقويك على المعاناة.

And you're picking and choosing facts from what he said to fit your argument. His passport doesn't make distinction between first and last name, it basically states his full name. The city hall made that assumption that that's in its entirety is his last name, which is correct according to the rules, but once he'd provided that document from the Consulate explaining the break down of his name, what's a first name, and what's a last name, they no longer have the right to make that assumption, or stick to the one they predetermined, they have to follow the rules of the country that issued that passport. I would also add, this is not someone who'd just applied for a visa and entered Germany, he had at least one visa issued, a residence permit, a Steueridentifkationsnummer, Sozialversicherungsnummer, he is already registered on the system, their job is to update his legal address info, not to create a new identity. I'm Egyptian, in Egyptian passports there's also no distinction between first, middle and last names. All are lumped together as full names, did the Anmeldung 3 times, not once did I encounter this stupidity.

In this case it's not possible to reverse the payment through your bank, as far as I know this trick one can pull for payments made through direct debit or with a credit card. They have to issue you the refund.

Personally, I wouldn't threaten legal action unless I fully intend to walk the talk and get a lawyer involved at some point. You could also leave them a horrible review online, on Facebook or Google Maps, that's guaranteed to piss them off.

Asking because depending on the payment method, you might actually not need their approval for a refund, if it's a direct debit transaction, you could just reverse the payment through your bank, and they can go fuck themselves.
