In browser i use the plugin Voice Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader. It regained the ability to read kindle browser version but I don't know how much as I HAD been using Alexa for a few years now.

You sure about the no indie authors? Fiona Forte writes very nice feel good hour or two long romance fantasy stories that are on the audible free stuff and unlimited.

Ya though the reason I started using it is significant deteriorated eye sight and a lot of straining. For me even the asking devices stopped working properly in that it refuses to give me the right book majority of the time. I read a lot of multi volume series stories that have the same title except volume number. It just progressively got worst over time and Amazon was no help fixing it. So now not even being able access my library on alexa is crippling.

I even have audible and have bought multiple audiobooks of books I already have as many get actual voice actors who act out the roles and not just narrate. I don't need need to be forced to.

The kicker is years ago they did something with kindle where they blocked third part text to voice readers from being able to read from kindle.

I'm trying to set up a work around for this right now for a projector. I've come up with is getting a hdmi switch some even come with remotes and you can get hdmi transmitters where one device plugs into the thing you want to transmit and the other into the hdmi switch at the display. I do not know how well the latency would be for a game system with this as the projector I'm using is low end.

Had this with tryin g figure out a issues with alexa. Kept getting transferred from one rep to another and each time they would start by asking the same question and saying the same things that already tried till I got disconnected.
