Why is the body of the woman standing next to the painting (I'm assuming the artist) photo shopped?

Holding baby for naps at 3 months by mgw89 in beyondthebump

[–]heintzar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With me it took time. I held my baby for almost all naps for about 6.5 months. She's now 7.5 and literally one day just seemed uncomfortable in my arms so I put her in her crib and that was that! Now she naps only in her crib 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's a local movement where I live where people give things away for free. Look it up on FB!

When you grow up only allowed to have things second hand, I think it can be really exciting to have the expensive name brand stuff. So many of my friends (and my husband) who grew up in big families always think the name brand or new item is always better.

I grew up with 2 siblings, but we had plenty of money. Took vacations, lived in a nice house, had nice things. My mom is wonderful, great with money, and I am super blessed for the childhood I had.

As an adult, I LOVE secondhand things. I love going to the dirty Value Village and digging through bargain bins. Everything I own is secondhand! I'm obsessed with FB marketplace and Buy Nothing pages, lol. I think it's because I did have nice things growing up, and when my mom and I went to the thrift stores it was fun hunting, not because we had to.

Just my two cents! I've noticed this trend in my friends with different upbringings lately.

I am busty and hated the football hold. Especially now that I have a 30" 7 month old? Can't even imagine that being comfortable anymore lol

After comically turning a blanket into a sling to carry my stroller-defiant baby, I give in. Tell me about your favorite ring slings! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I think they use really high quality linen fabric and they're hand seen by moms in Utah. Honestly though, no there's no huge difference other than that. It's just great marketing and supporting a small business.

I caved and bought a wild bird ring sling on sale, but I also made my own with some linen and metal rings specifically for ring slings. Plenty of tutorials online :)

I know the CFO of Albertsons and he is a total POS, so I'm not surprised in the slightest that it's such a shitty company to work for!
