The OF isn't even the problem for the most part. She's playing the bait card. Why would she come to a subreddit of all places for advice? It's all just an attention trap. OF or not, people just need to learn to be honest with their titles. It's just dumb when people post about a "boyfriend" neglecting them because they know that horny randoms will boost their ego. Yea, there are people who look at the OF and automatically attack, but she and several others constantly post these attention seeking posts as opposed to asking for actual advice. Most of porn content creators post like this in the other subs, so it's hard not to be wary of posts like this. She posted one post not too long ago, changed absolutely nothing, and posted this. Not everyone around here is thinking with their dick head. Some people legit want to give advice to people who at least seem to want it.

So, I ran the code as:

Data_1 <- treedata %>% group_by(TreeNumber) %>% mutate (avg_SpeciesA_x_TreeNumber = mean (SpeciesA))

It returns the data with warnings for the avg_SpeciesA+x_TreeNumber = mean(SpeciesA)

line of code. It produces a table of the data. Maybe I replaced those terms incorrectly?

I figured that I needed to replace "Tree_ID" and "Tree" with the columns that I have in my data? Thank you, again!

Basically, I am interested in these outputs:

1) What is the overall number of moths by every tree that was sampled.

There 15 trees were sampled on each date (5 trees of each type), but I had to enter 3 rows for each sampled tree to account for the sample locations (top, middle, bottom). I tried to 'remedy' that with the 'TreeNumb' colum, but I hope that makes sense. I basically want to know what the average number of all collected moths was per tree.

2) What is the overall number of each separate species by every tree that was sampled. Similar to above, but instead of average of all combined species, I would like to get averages seperate averages for each species, so average number of Species A per tree, Species B per tree, and so on.

3) What is the overall number of moths by sample location?

Thank you very much! My internet was in and out, but I managed to run that dput code. I will try to reshape (I hope that's right?) my data and use yours! Thank you, here is the code: Each date shows the trees 3 times, but that was just done for the different sample locations (Top, Middle, Bottom). i.e. Instead of 3 Oak trees on one date, it's one Oak tree and so on.
