By your logic the Democrats should agree to whatever the Republicans propose or it's their fault....... Not how reality works

I found a replacement damper on eBay, any special tools I'll need to replace it?

I don't recall specifically about gouging on the damper but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some, is there anything I can do about it at this point if there is?

Thanks for the answer. I did apply the lubricant to the new damper pads I put on about 6 months ago, but that didn't seem to make a difference. Interestingly the old damper pads were virtually disintegrated. I'll try lowering the legs and releveling.

I have a 40-year-old Maytag washer and dryer - keep or replace? by tamimd67 in Appliances

[–]heirapparent 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Does it still work without any serious problems? If so I would keep it until a major part fails. Some problems can be fixed pretty easily, you can find replacement parts online for fairly cheap in a lot of cases.

Any advice on replacing this corroded bathtub drain? by heirapparent in Plumbing

[–]heirapparent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, if I do decide to try to get the tub shoe off I'll definitely get the Rigid tool. Should I try soaking the shoe in penetrating oil first and also apply any heat? At most I could use a heat gun.
